dual 600

Has anyone else tryed using the grow pro dual 600 setup. i have bought 3 and 2 of them the ballest have had to be repaired within the first 2 months.

Pico had one and found out they were crap. The bulbs didn't put out as much light as a regular ballast and they were faulty. Very poor design on Sunlight Supplys end of it.

yep, they turned out to be a dud. Too bad I was really stoked on them at first because I liked the idea. So many were returned to my hydro store after the tests came out. They were selling them for $100 used. I still have a few around that I use as a backup, but they mostly collect dust.

You arent referring to the Dual 600w Lumatek digital ballasts are you? I was looking at picking up a few of these in the next month, if these are problem units thanx for the heads up.

my dual 600 had a bad capacitor. i had it replaced, works fine now. it did misfire once though, randomly.

for another $200 you can have another ballast and more peace of mind, a small price to pay.

cesartime- These are the Sun Systems Gro Pros that had problems. Although I wouldn't be the first to jump on the Lumatek dual 6 bandwaggon.
