How to dry the harvest outdoors?

any good ideas on how to dry the buds outdoors, when drying indoors is not possible?

I'm thinking like a box covered with plastic, placed under a shrub...

any other "good" ideas?

A make-shift shed covered by a TIN roof, with the buds loosely wrapped in cotton fabric which is then stuffed between the rafters and the roof. Dries out fast and is safe from a soaking if it rains while you are away. Won't dry anywhere near as fast if the roof isn't made of metal, though.

Here's a method using calcium chloride as a dessicant and drying in a garbage can:

I was thinking of using a similar method on a small scale using a tupperware box and silica gel.

we hang tarps over a line, pull the sides out and make a Lean-to with plants on a wire rack or string lines. then if its too wet, use a propane heater on low (away from tarp). dries it out pretty well.

I may have to dry outdoors this season because i cant have weed inside the house. I am going to build a pvc chicken cage that can fit on my deck(which is where im growing) and put a shade cloth over the cage(preferably 80%-100% shade so no sunlight touches the buds). The buds will hang. I will cut a hole at the bottom, and one at the top on the opposite end for ventilation. i hope this works.
