Drug test question (please read!)

So I have a friend who hasn't smoked for about 3 months so he is clean for sure. I rarely get to see this friend but he is coming into town and i'd like to smoke with him. The catch is that he is in the army so he isnt allowed to smoke.

He will be in the area from march 26th to 31st and then he will proally have a drug test on April 14th.


Since his system is clean do you guys think he could smoke like only one blunt with me and still be able to pass his test on the 14th if he just drinks lots of water and works out leading up to the 14th?

Please let me know what you guys think, think its possible for him to even smoke a little with me. His tolerance is low so he proally doesnt need to smoke much to get high, he cant afford to fail this drug test though either.

yes, the common misconception is THC stays in your system for 30+ days, yes it does if your an everyday or habitual user...but if he's starting from a clean slate one smoke out in 18 days should be ok.....

I have smoked the day before a drug test, both when I was smoking heavily, and once when I'd smoked infrequently.

I flushed with a gallon of water and a vitamin B complex drink (not just B12, and not in a capsule), with a boost of EmergenC about an hour before the test (C is absorbed quickly, and gives you urine a natural, heathy color, instead of clear).

Passed both with flying yellow colors.

Clarification: The gallon of water was consumed over the course of the night before and into the day of the test. The vitamins were taken about an hour before. Don't try to drink a gallon of water in the hour before your test

I just took a drug test (my own test) 2 days ago and I hadn't smoked in 3 weeks, last time I did it was just 2 days where I smoked through an eighth. I passed just fine.

I'm interested in doing a little test of my own, when these home screening kits are as cheap as they are its probably worth testing yourself just to see how long it takes for your body to piss clean.


I'd say he should be fine but everyones body is different, I used to work with a guy who took 13 weeks to piss clean! - that said he was a big stoner.

If he's lean and he's definately going to work out, I would say he's risking it but maybe its worth it? IDK, is it really worth getting discharged?

If he's a little chubby, I'd be more hesitant. If ur gonna do it though, do it on the 26th or soon as possible obviously.

If the lab tests determine that the piss is too diluted with water then maybe they'll just ask him to take a re-test. That will buy him a few extra days assuming it has to be shipped.

yes, he should be fine, but he should plan on using a home thc test with his 1st morning piss before the test to be sure if he is clean enough to pass. and just in case if he's not, dilution can work fine, but drinking the water during the days leading up to the test is not a very effective method... the flushing should be done about 2-3 hours prior to the test, including pre-pissing a few times, and then use the mid-stream method. fortunately the military does not check for dilution factors such as creatinine, so that will simplify things. but it only takes about 2 quarts, and should be drank as 8oz every 15 mins for 2 hours. but i also recommend practicing the method at least a day in advance with another home test to verify pre-verify it's effectiveness. check out the dilution method detailed in the 2nd post of the link in my sig & maybe print up a copy of it for him.

i kno for a fact that alot of people in th emilitary smoke weed. i dont know the penalty and its weird that they are testing your friend as my friend got tested once when he went in and thats it. but if you just smoke once i think it will only stay in your system for about a week. so light up and chill with ur buddy.

lol, id like to see them do a drug test on my shit, that would be worth failing, especially if they have to be in the room when i do it. i would have the biggest smile on my face thinking "yea you smell my shit you government pig, get a good wiff" id eat cheese and milk for like 3 days b4 the test too just to make it all that more rancid.

Do not smoke with your friend! It is not worth it to him, and I hope he sees that. He has chosen a path that he cannot reverse (simply), he must see it through. Tell him you'll blaze him up in 4 years, when he gets out, he'll much-deserve it. For now, he should stay focused. The sun doesn't burn anything until it's brought to focus.

Until then, smoke for him.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Anyone know where you can buy these home test kits? Can you get them from the local smoke shop or do you have to order them online, if so then how long does it take to arive. Thanks.

I would not even bring it up. If he does, it is his choice. If he were to piss dirty he will never have a chance for promotions and advancements. Do you want that on your conscience? It would just be a tease for him if he were to do it once, lol.....

Cool thanks everyone. I think hes just gonna end up buying some home test kits if they arent too expensive and worse case sceniro if he is dirty leading up to the test he can just allways skip it.

The Army cannot take a joke. If he smokes he will get busted - they will piss him. No less than 60 days is the rule - - 20 years ago when I served. I imagine the tests are better now than they were then. If someone got pissed within 18 days - they took the sample, but didn't test it (they tend to piss everyone and pull out selected suspects and a few randoms - not all samples get tested).

I did the same thing. Smoked only one, stayed clean since and 57 days later was tested and came up positive. Luckily, it was the start of the Army's crack down, so I only got a Field Grade Article 15 (lost two stripes (pay grade reduction two levels), 60 days extra duty and 60 days restriction to barracks (Army's way of house arrest)). Today, they are nazis about it. They will nail his balls to the wall - hard. In attempts of making an example out of him to the other troops.

If he's truly your friend and you care about him - don't even tempt him - don't let him see, smell, nor even think about it. Especially these days - they are desperate for frontline troops and it merely gives them an excuse to transfer him to a line unit (no matter what his job skill is).

Take him out and get him shitfaced - puke all over the neighborhood - but don't even hint at weed. Don't let him screw himself. I dont' care what BS anyone can come up with about research or do this or that to spoof the test - - - no, I'm telling you from first hand experience - they'll nail him. The Army puts a gaurd on you when you piss - they want to see cock in jar and urinating. Otherwise they trash it and make you piss again, even if it takes them all day. And I've seen everyone, including myself, that smoked within 60 days and were tested get popped. It's not worth it.
