Dr. Grinspoon bud issue

Hey guys, was wondering if you could share your wisdom and expertise with me? I have a Dr. Grinspoon growing that is doing very well as far as plant and bud structure. The other day I was inspecting the buds to check for plant pests and abnormalities and I noticed that one of the buds looks flat almost like it was cut or bit off. The bud does have a little brownish color to it, so I checked thoroughly for mold and there is none. Other than that the plant is healthy and I really don't see any issues worth worrying about, it is just that one bud. What kinds of bugs or pests would do this to a bud?
