DOUBLE YOUR GROW!!! CONSTANT FLOWER ROOM!

ok ..i have a idea im putting to work . i do sog grows , and the plants or clones, i have cut are flowered in small containers. i have downsized my grow to a smaller room . and lower number of plants . i have a 5x5 with 45 to 50 plants . 2000w hps. with the plants in small containers and all the fans and lights going , it tends to make the containers dry everyday .. so i have to feed them one day and water the next .. i do this in the morning cycle .and let them stay wet under lights.
OK here is my big plan. i have to take them out of my box ,to do the feeding and watering . now im going to set two sets of grows up under 1 set of lights! making my flower room 24 hours. on day 1 im going to put 40 clones into flower. i will feed the day of the frist 12 on.. then when the 12 hours are up for the first set . i take them out, set aside. go into my 24 hour dark room get the next set of 40 clones. feed them ,and put them into flower. then im going to take the first set of clones that has been under the 12 hour cycle and put them in the 24 hour dark room for 12 hours.
this gives me 2 grow rooms with 1 set of lights . and my power bill will be saved . and i don't have to buy two set ups. so im getting a 4000w gro with 2000w of lights .
ok guys tell me what ya think .. i think it will work , and im going to try it . i know it will be alot work . every 12 hours have to switch plants but hell . it will be worth it . save all around . and get way more bag for my buck.

Oh, Ive thought about this as well. My idea was using a single HID on a mover with like a 6 or 8 foot rail and giving it only one motion per 12 hour period, from one extreme of the rail to the other. Make two grow areas below each space. The problem is dividng the spaces so light contamination wont interfere with the other groups dark period. I never got beyond that one.

It's a good idea, but it will be a hell of a hassle when they are older, and heavier...

To move a few plants, that's ok, but you're gonna have to move 80 plants a day!
If only you could put both sets of clones on something with wheels, it would be much easier!

well with this idea i will have to make another room . a dark room . it will be a 24 hour dark room . but hey it is cheaper to build a dark room ,compaired to a grow room ...lol just a good fan is about 3 to 400 dollars
plus i do all my grows by hand anyway . i cut the lights on and off . 1/4 turn them . everything i can do i will . lol this is just a cheaper way to have a bigger grow room with out all the cost and nosy power watchers.plus. the lights are off 12 when they can be working . they do better running constantly anyway.

if u make sog boxes with wheels on the bottom like SOMA does no hassle at all then ,not sure where youd find a link to his pics of the boxes though ,but thats how i'd do it

Sounds like it could work....like you say, will be alot of work. You will have to be pretty precise w/ time, and will always have to be home at "moving times" (or have someone else helping). Seems to me that 1000w would be plenty for a 5x5 SOG. Why not use the other 1000w in another room so that you would have a grow and flower room? With one 1000w @ 24/0, and the other 1000w @ 12/12, you would be using less juice than you are now. IMHO, I think 2000w for 5x5 area is a bit of overkill anyway. Just my opinion. Sound like u will be ,making yourself a lot more work than it needs to be....butr if it will save u money, asnd ur happy to do it, and you can get it sussed to work right without any light leaks or sjit, why not eh.

1000 watts is plenty for 25 sqft & I would also suggest spliting your lights - moving plants is a lot of work & as someone pointed out your timming has to be right on /

Another suggestion is to shop Ebay for a 1000 MH for a veg room - U can fine some every week or so pretty cheap /

my start veg room (3 x 5 closet) is runing 24/7 using floresents

well see you guys .. what i mean is just have a room that has lights on 24 hours . and have a room dark for 24 hours. this will eliminate the need to buy 2 more 1000watters, and fans , and all the other things that you need to have a room . i just mean that i can flower 24 hours .. have 40 plants that go out of the dark room , feed them .put them in the flower room .. for 12 hours . take them out ....... then go into my dark get 40 out feed them put them in the flower room ...and take the ones i just took out and put them in the dark room .. i am talking about having two rooms. i can take out and feed 40 plants in about 1hour . and yea i would have to be ther at 10 am and 10 pm .im just saying that you can produce twice more pot whith 1 set or 1 set of lights . i mean the lights sit there and do nothing for 12 hours anyway.and ya can't move ya lights and fans and all so , ya just move the plants out of the light room and into the dark room every 12 hours. so if i do this that means i can flower 80 plants every 2 months.. that is better than 40 plants . and lot better than buying as 2000w set up ..

Then U can update at a later time if U can or want 2 / let us know how it works for you & keep up the good Karma /

U can veg under cheap grow flors with good results (I am & during the day I move the second weekers to the full lights a few hours a day to get them stronger & ready for the flower room - just be carefull moving them to full HID light as baby's burn up very easy - ask me!

yo hey fredster . ty for stopping by at puttin in yer info .. ty . yea im all about get moreidis lol.. im always thinking about getting more .. im going to start this project soon . i have about 10 days or so till harvest . then im going to move into another place to grow . i try to move every 6 to 10 months . lol,, when i get set back up i'll put in into action .. im going to make it happen quick . so soon as my grow is done ,and i can take and clean everything and get it back up i will start posting results .. but hell the ones that are in now for the first 12 hours do fine . im sure that the 2nd shift will do just as good.. lol. i just want more ..lol but that is typical for a head lol...
