double end fixture or hid lighting?

hey all was wondering if anybody has used the newer double end fixtures ? i came across these guys at a new hydro store and they were telling me they put out alot uses able light and better penertration power compaired to the reg hid lights for watt to watt.

when they showed me a 600 watt lighting up i coudl not even look at it from about 15 feet away cause it was hurting my eyes to look at.

So was wondering what people thought or know about these things and if they are worth looking into?

As soon as I can, I'm retrofitting all my 1kW hps with 600W DEs. And the next spot I get to grow in will surely have 10+ft ceilings so I can get the 1000's.

I switched all my rooms to de and am getting 15-20% better yields. I was using 1000w hps over a 4x4 area and kept everything the same except changed the lights.

Ive heard the double ended fixtures are awesome. If they are similar to Gavitas, keep in mind that they put out more lumens but about 30% more heat (4500 BTUs)
