dosage per cookie?

read below to help me figureout the dosage please.

hey guys, i followed the recipe to make canna butter with a 1/2 oz of cannabis to 2 sticks of butter. i used 14 grams of some B grade buds to 2 sticks and my recipe called for only 1.5 sticks of butter.

the math:

10.5 grams and i made 21 cookies. ( i was hoping for a 28 cookies so that each cookie was .5 grams or half a dosage??)

so making 21 cookies kept the half gram (roughly) per cookie. does that equate to half a dose per cookie??

i have purchased some edibles before and most are 2 dosages per
edible. for instance, this dark chocolate i have from bhangchocolate.com has 60mg of THC and the package states its 2 dosages so 30mg of thc per dose im assuming.

correct me if im wrong and can anyone please try to inform me on the whole dosage and how to calculate the process. id appreciate it,

Good questions, I usually don't cut it down into particulars, I use the 'scratch-n-sniff' method...

I guess the cannabutter would have to be tested to determine actual THC content to then figure exact dosage amounts per.

I'd be curious to hear from someone who knew.

haha, ya the good ol science vs the sniff test. im sure i underestimated... also the simmering of the butter with the cannabis probably has something to do with it too. i simmered mine for about 2.5 hours. didnt look as green as ive seen some other produce.

12 hours for me here, I use mostly sugar leaf, but I'll grind up some fresh herbs and throw it in there as well.

I don't think I use any less than 3-4 zips per pound of butter

I'm torn on the final color issue as well.Don't get me wrong, I LIKE when my butter is nice and dark, but I also don't think that dark color/potency are mutually exclusive.

simmer for 12hrs? wow man, that's crazy. still good though? 3 hours worked fine for my ginger cookies. ate half a cookie and i felt awesome, pain in my back went away

I use 10 ounces of already bubble bagged flowers to two pounds of butter (8 sticks).
