drink a heineken......eat something at foodism or wok-to-walk ;-)

oh, parallel street to the damkring, you find the best frites around...!

hmm, 10-12 hours .....i think visiting vondelpark you need more time ..., is it your first time there? If so, try getting to know the city as good as possible, walk around the town canals, they are always a good aid to orientation...

here, a good website with many many tips for places to visit, spotted by locals ;-)

http://www.spottedbylocals.com/

good luck and a gread time in A´dam....!

walk out of the train stationand find dakroon coffee shop, it has a neon green crown as a sign, walk in, order blueberry haze, if they still have it, get a gram, smoke the whole thing, leave, find the grey area, order anything on their menu, it's almost all DNA genetics, and GREAT stuff. if you still can function, i would recommend going to the main red light district walking around and lookin at the sights, the canals and just the way things are there. it just might change your perception of how you want to live your life. i was there for about 5 weeks in the fall and enjoyed every minute of it. still did not see everything... the heineken tour is awesome too.

i think i should save some more money and stay a week+ :D

I did 10 my first time and the next needs to be 30 at least..

Time to get around and see folks. Time to enjoy the place... Rent an apartment for a month and let go!

One day is such a hard way to go...

10 to 12 hours? and if you're flying in the ride from schiphol to old amsterdam is an hour each way but the train will put you in the heart of where you desire to go. a day trip will only allow time for a couple of coffee shops, burn up whatever you buy and it's time to leave. that sort of travel is too fast for me cause i would not want to go anywhere when i am toast. except to bed. peace-biteme

channels.nl <---Good info. Ask around for MileHigh, think he does day tours. Smoke your brains out with a local all day...

Have fun, wish I was going.

p.s.:
don´t fall for street dealers.
just say:"thanks, but i don´t need nothing." and don´t stop walking.
don´t waste your time by visiting mediocre shops and buying mediocre
weed for tourist prices, just to complain about it afterwords.in good shops,
they show you the product before the purchase and also let you take a sniff
or two,in order to help you making your decision.if they don´t,don´t stay!
just say "thank you",walk out and go to the next.there are always plenty
alternatives.
do make a plan, which shops you want to visit,in which order.amsterdam is a
nice city, but running around with no clue what so ever, where to find the shop you are
looking for could easily just get annoying;especially with a tight schedule like your´s.

last time i visited,i just spent 6 hours in a´dam, together with two buddies...
and it was awesome.6 shops-10 strains(as far as i remember) +a visit at the
cannabis college, including the garden in the basement.and we also took a look
at a unknown number of shops,we did not stay at or bought anything from
them.

greets

I was there a few weeks ago and thought that the weed from dampkring was the best i had. I had some very nice Nevils Haze that had me and the missus laughing with tears the whole trip. Trying not to get killed by a bike while high is a very funny exp :D

We also thought the greenhouse coffee shop near the dampkring was the best ambiance wise...but there again i love fish and they had a massive koi tank built into the floor....very cool :smoker:

Have fun!!

Agree with post above don't buy anything of street dealers most of it is crap. Watch them dam bikes when your stoned (Don't spin round quick with a backpack on) and don't forget where your hotel is. My favourite pastime was flirting with the girls in the coffee shops a lot of the dutch girls seem to be tall a lot nicer than the English. I'll probably get linched at home now.
