We did'nt have the funds to install a proper 90 amp sub-panel in our grow shed.
Well we paid the price this morning, a fire destroyed our crop @ day 63 of 12/12
Just a miscommunication between my partner & me on who would shut off the space heaters when the lights came on @ 7:00. @ 7:45 poof For a third of what we spent on ferts & sups it could of been done right.
Well the lights and fans seem to be ok . the fire burned it self out when the fans stopped. So 1 masonite panel , another roll of polyshield, an lots of ozieum, we'll be back in a week. the next gen into two weeks 12/12 are also ,sadly, toast but the gen after that was in different local and are looking good.
the lesson here is prosper from my mistake, if your not sure, have an electricion take a looksie. Peace, and seeya in a few weeks! :joint:

Good to see, no one got hurt and no poopoo.
Thanks for sharing your misfortune, hopefully others will heed the warning if it applies to them. One thing I learnt in life, dont foke with electricity and fire, you will get burnt everytime.

glad to hear the damage wasn't worse and you didn't get busted cause of it. good luck restarting. Also, make sure to replace as many wires as you can after a fire due to heat possibly melting wires and connections inside junction boxes. You don't want the same thing to happen again and be worse

why didn't you guys just have the space heaters on a timer? lights go on at 7, space heater goes off at 7....then no one would have to go shut them off manually.

see, there's that pot head thing again...lol... dont you hate it when stuff like that happens? glad no one got hurt...so we learn from it and move on...peace
