Hi guys wonder if someone can give me alittle advice on my ICE plants please. They aren't on deaths door or anything i just think they might be stressed and i don't know why.

I've just transplanted some new ladies into my flood and drain system (about 3 days now). They get fed every 3 hours and it takes around 15 mins for the system to flood and drain. i have CO2 at around 1500ppm, ph is quite steady around 5.8 but creeps up to as high as 6.3 over night; they are in new clay pebbles so I expect this to go away. They have only ever had nutrients since i have put them in the new pots [15 litres] and are on less than half strength of GH 1 part grow. Temperatures tend to fluctuate but never go above 95f and are generally around 90f. They are under a 600w HPS which i have now moved to over 5 feet from the plants. They have been under this for a few weeks prior to transplanting. Any ideas what's wrong? One of the plants looks a little like it's got nute burn but i don't think that this can be the case. they are both going a pale shade of green that i don't like! I'm thinking perhaps light stress 'cos the other end of my room has a 400w HPS and those plants seem fine, although one is a few weeks older and much bigger. I've attached pics, sorry for one shot not quuite being in focus and they both look a lot more pale in real life, my camera struggles to deal with the amount of light in my growroom and seems to get confused. I've got some G13/Maple Leaf/Hash Plant in there as well and that couldnt be more green - lot older though so not really related.

Any help will result in smiles and kudos; thanks.

Can you check the roots without damaging the plants? Looks like a hint of heat stress (leaf edges starting to curl up) along with a nute uptake problem...could be PH, nute lockout or root rot amongst many possibilities.

Hey at that size... all you need to do is apply a GOOD nutrient formula in 3/4 dose reccommended for "seedling" properly PH balanced.....

UP YOUR FERT DOSE... your ph is GREAT that range 5.8-6.3 is perfect... I prefer a ph closer to 6.2 in early veg, till the plants are quite abviously growing multi tips every day..
PH balancing being the key so that ALL the nutes are available to the plant... you'll notice new healthy growth... a maybe a darkening green of the whole plant.. within 4 days... you should NOT notice the symptoms progressing if you do this RIGHT AWAY... however the longer you wait.. the longer the plant has to develop multi deficeicy.. which mean you could see SOME progression of the problem b4 they turn for the better... just a matter of damage now showing up tomorrow or the next day on the plant...

peace

Water every 4 hours until she gets some legs under her and feel you will see a difference in a few days.

i would guess a deficiency only because the top ones leaves look a lil twisty and not curly...try to get them some micronutrients.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I've maintained the PH level as constant as possible but for some reason the temp is being a little crazy in the room and sometimes going upto 35C. They seem to be getting some colour in them again but the curled edges, a sign of heat stress, are still there. They are still on a low nute does with an EC of about 0.6 but i think i might have to up it soon. Also gave them some rhyzotonic but i can't afford enough to get them upto full strength on that right now so i think they are on about 1/4. Doing goos though.

Just got my nutra wand and it's excellent. Turns out my G13xMaple LeafxBig Bud were on an EC of 2.2 and merryliy growing away even though they are still less than 24" tall! Got it down to 1.7 just to play it safe.

Thanks again

Thought you guys deserved an update, here's all the girls... the ones in the two right hand bickets were the ones in the pics at the start of this thread. Also one of the Armageddon girls! any comments on how the ice is gettin' on would be lovely 'cos i'm not sure if they are speeding along or not. :sasmokin:
