Doesnt get me high?!?

So i've been growing about a year now. I've been growing primarily one strain from single mother. I decided to start another mother, so i found a female from (what i thought) was the same batch of seeds and trained her.

I've got a perpetual grow going, with about 5 different iterations of this one plant. The first sample i cut at day 65, dryed and its a MILD MILD body high. Just weak crap. So the next iteration i let go to day 70 and is currently drying

So the real question, could i have grown weed that doesnt get you high? Very low levels of THC? Should i let go to 80 days? 90 days? I've heard of sativas taking that long. The flowers look great and crystaly.

I do have another strain with it that does get me ripped, so i know its not my method.

It did have a rough veg time, due to some issues. (although the other strain still did fine)

You may want to get a cheap magnifying loop to see when the trichs are mature. Your plant may just be a long flowering strain and require more time. It could just be that the plant is not very potent.
I would suggest buying some good genetics at seedbay and never have to worry about growing a dud.

With out a doubt a microscope is a must, the trichomes are the key. shit or no shit, the peak is the peak, and at that time you will have the best of whatever you have for strain,

Yeah, tell us how the trichs look. It's hard for me to judge because really I think my plant is already mature due to my preference. Today is 52 days and almost all the trichs are milky, thing is the yield would be screwed if I took it down now lol. And on the other hand my other plant has only a few milky trichs and the rest are still mostly clear.. so I guess it depends, but I'm guessing you just have a very long flowering strain. But like everyone said looking at trichomes are the best way to judge for a harvest.

I can suggest curing for a while. I don't have any science to explain this, but have heard people say that certain strains are weak after harvest but strengthened after a good cure. Am I crazy? Can't think why it would be, but it's a thought...

Hey people:wave:

I believe the concept behind curing is that it allows the other chemicals that occur naturally in the plant to break down thus enhancing the effects of the THC, this is how it was explained to me by a grower with over ten years experience.

I use the curing method and truly believe that it enhances the potency of the weed as time passes. I have only done one grow and am refitting my grow room to get more potential from the space.

In the mean time I`m curing the last grow and smoking it as slowly as possible so I can make it last till the next grow comes through.

Try it, you can`t really lose anything, and you may gain a greater high:kos:

i agree w/ others about the trics.

thing is, you said ya had troubles during veg. i've seen some strains take as long as 15weeks to mature due to multiple stresses in both veg & bud. those same strains w/out any stress mature in 9wks.
