Does weed change the essence of how you live this LIFE?

G

Simply this..

Life with weed, is just different... to life without weed.

How does it change YOUR life? Do you feel it really changes how you live your existence on this earth?

In other words, would you live differently if you never had marijuana?

it makes me more social and more chill over everything. Id be wound up without it, and without it id be holed up being depressed on a consistent basis.

yeah life with weed is definately more relaxed for me. The world just comes now and how it goes down is just how it does. I realized through weed that its is how it is and nothing changes that.... and things turn out because I just let them

I go do that thing) whenever and I go do that other thing whenever and I don't grumble about it or even procrastinate until becomes a problem... why? because nothing is really a problem ... there is always the other side of the "problem".. the part when it has pastby and you are post problem.....thats what I focus on now

I am still getting my thoughts sorted on it but it is an interesting question....one of several thoughtful ones you have posted recently..

Weed makes me appreciate things more. I don't have a lot, but I have more then some. More than most I could say. I don't live in the ghetto, and the poverty line isn't the distant horizon. I always have more than enough to eat, drink, but it seems never enough to smoke. haha. I have more channels than the number of days in a year, I have a good family who cares about each other. I don't have a girlfriend though, that's something I've never been very good at (I'm not too smooth). However, marijuana has 'loosened' me up I guess you could say. I'm not critical of other people (of course I judge people in the first 10 seconds I see them like everyone else, I just don't criticize their every article of clothing and choice of hairstyle. If they dress like a slut, I figure they gotta be a slut. Dress like a pimp, I don't think you work on wallstreet.)
I've met people I never would have met without weed, and that for me is the BEST part about it all. The friends I have now are good people, most of them anyways. Sometimes I wonder though, who my real friends are. A couple kids I talked to that were underclassmen when I was still in school who were mutual friends stopped talking to me when one of them turned 18. I always wondered why everytime they called me we ended up buying a couple blunt wraps and smoking, and that was it. Other than that, I got a pretty solid group of friends. I'm not self concious (but I am aware of my appearance. I'm comfortable in my own skin, but I don't want to look like a slob all the time) and I could care less about what other people think, because opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one and it stinks.

not really, weed is nice but there is more to life than just getting stoned, it's just a part of my life it doesn't really totally change how I live or view things.

im not as superficial or materialistic as i used to be. i think the "farout" ponderings i have when i get right stoned have made me a bit more existential. i used to think being the most successful/richest person was all that there was to life outside of sticking my dick in any warm hole i could find along the way. after falling in love and smoking lots of weed, my views have skewed quite a bit. i feel for the better though, and when i look back at myself pre-weed i remember how ignorant of many things i was. a big thing weed did though is make me realize how untrustworthy governments can be and to always question their motives.

The first time I smoked weed it inspired a course of right action and humility within me, establishing substantial claims on my conscience in regards to matters of responsibility, integrity, and love and commpassion for others. It has been a great cleanser of my soul, ridding me of countless self-desrtuctive ideas and getting me through some of the most unsettling pessimism I have ever encounterd causing me to be aroused anew by life's enigmatic promise. And ultimatelly affirming Life, Hope, and the belief that ones future need not be contaminated by a monsterous past.

Yep I agree. I drink caffeinated drinks too like coffee, Red Bull etc ... they're an addition or an enhancement if you like to my life, but they don't alter my life. Pot is pretty much the same, except whereas I drink a Red Bull for a bit of energy i smoke pot for a bit of relaxation and good vibes

Weed IS the Essence (or at least the fuel) for which I live this life. I truly mean this, and someday I will repay her for all that she has done. In the immediate future though, Ima set the bitch on fire, breathe deeply, and repeat.

Before I started smoking weed I wanted to be very successful and have a big house and fast car and the like.

Now, all I want from life is to enjoy my time I have on this planet. Being rich isn't important, although I would like to be comfortable. I guess weed made me see the important things. Me and a couple of my friends have always said, weed makes you see through the bullshit (sometimes).

whether we like to admit it, we are completely different from a non-smoker by the very nature of our hobby. it is an illicit substance, yet we proudly cultivate and consume it. this indicates a certain rebellious mindset, not necessarily in a teenagery way, but in an open and accepting of new ideas way.

it's interesting how we are albe to learn less as we age, kinda like neurons are hardwiring... people also tend to be less susceptible to a change of opinion as they age, but pot somking can change that. perhaps the same efffect that makes us forgetful makes it easier for our minds to create new patterns and our neurons new connections and replace old opinions with new ones...

weed enhances the experience that is my life. Im not involved in it so much that it IS my life, which is perfectly acceptable by the way, but i use it to enhance the muddane and exciting alike. I use it to calm my mind, so i can not think for one second, so i can enjoy life without worry for a second.

I'm a lot less materialistic than I used to be. Instead of going out shopping to kill time, I just stay home, smoke, and talk with my friends for hours.

For me, absolutely in a number of areas in my life.

Most importantly, marijuana regulates me! My mind is always in overdrive about things - anything and everything. Depending on how much I smoke, marijuana will slow me down and just allow me to enjoy things. I've become the stop and smell the roses type as opposed to the straight forward type. When I am working on a project, I can concentrate much better and my ideas flow smoothly. I definitely become more creative which is a good thing in my line of work.

It doesn't change how i view or handle things. Shit its made me pretty relaxed. I know if i didn't ever smoke id probally be wound up and shit. Definetly not as happy.

When I smoke I tend to think better. I think about life in general and how fucked up it is, but it can always be worse. When I'm high everything is better period. :smoker:

it helps with depression
it helps with stress levels
everything is more pleasant and beautiful and funny when you're high, so i definitely enjoy myself more (that's possibly redundant with the depression comment)
it's also conducive to deeper thinking which can deeply affect ideas, opinions, choices.

it's tempting to agree that it makes you see what's important and what's not important. but really i think it's more that it makes you see how unimportant most things are, like work work work so you can buy shit that doesn't make you happier. oh yeah, before you get it you're all excited that it's gonna make you happier, but then you get it, and it's just a matter of time before you're disappointed. studies have shown that beyond pretty basic necessities, having more stuff does not make you happier. but there is a pretty universal impulse that having more stuff will make you happier, so most people just never stop trying to get more. then you're old and regret working so much. using weed helps me break the cycle. no more meaninglessly spinning my wheel like a gerbil in a cage.

so yes typically it seems to imply that some other things are more important, but maybe they're all equally unimportant... there is no god, no purpose. the universe just is. i'm just glad i exist and try to enjoy the ride, which is a much more complex affair than it may at first sound...
