I need some help here please. This doctors reccomendation states that I am exempt from the LOCAL limits right? Or am I not understanding these words correctly?

It looks like it states the "limits law" and spells out in detail how I am EXEMPT from the limits.

Ughhh, PLEASE HELP

someone will come along & explain this further ...there is an SB40 inclusion that gives a doctor the right to determine with some patients the need for access to greater quantities for medicating and belive there are 4 criteria involved in this

Two i can think of right off which are

1) needing to consume/ingest canabis to get the stated effects , then needing larger amounts
2) having need for different strains available that offer different kinds of relief for treating several kinds of pain & symtoms etc

no expert here though ...lets see what others hav to say .

best regards

Your rec clearly states that you require more than stipulated. What it does not say is how much more you are allowed. If I were you, the first thing I would do is talk to my doctor to find out exactly how much more you are allowed. If he cannot answer that question then I would consult a lawyer or legal aide.
The people on this forum are great, and can help with many things, but in this situation I highly suggest getting local medical and legal advice.Hey you are legal now, you don't have to hide.

Lol! It does not matter "how much"...."special rec" I have a lol "special one" but as I understand it, the law is clear, a rec is a rec, the question is will the Dr. show up in court. You should read the law its pretty clear.
Limits? Wtf are you talking about? The only limit is the sky brotha, sb 420, not valid. Nonetheless depending on where you live and circumstances being 100% legit you still need to realize anything can happen, and if leo get a hair up their ass you could still get fuct around, and have to deal with raids, being locked in a cage, court, ect...you may beat it in court, but it will still suck.

Again prop 215 is clear as mud for a reason, read it, let me know where it mentions limits, special recs, whether or not recs "expire" or that they even need to be renewed? There is a gray area, you decide how hard you want to stomp around in it, even if you do everything the right way, it may not matter. Just be careful and know the laws, not just 215, you need to be aware of and familar with on going criminal cases, it is an ever changing gray area. Hell maybe some of the stuff I mentioned has changed idk...even though I have a regular ol' boring rec and a "special" rec, which thats 2 so extra points huh lol, I no longer keep up with CA goings on, now my paper tigers are worthless and I am just a criminal safe underground once a motherfucking gain... So take it with a grain of salt, someone else will chime in lotsa smart in the know folks here you arein good hands here..

My rec states that I may possess/grow 78 ounces of cannabis per year, which mathematically is greater than the suggested AG limits.

I think having a specific number gives me a better defense should I have to navigate these uncharted legal waters. Tough to win a jury if your defense is: my doctor believes I should be exempt from certain laws/guidelines.

There was logic and a basis to derive at our 78 ounce number.

Cheers.

rec's dont mean shit when a DA puts you in jail and charges you with it.

Will cost you $10,000+ and even if you win you are still out of that money.

General rule of thumb in Cali is if you want to go over the 6/12 limit, don't go over 99.

A doctor writing a suggestion on a piece of paper doesn't mean shit when it comes to you being charged when you are busted.

The safest way, the way I did it, is to have multiple rec's. I had 14 different, valid, recs on the door to my grow.

Putting one piece of paper with a note from a doc saying "this patient needs more then cali allows" and then cops open your grow room and see 99 plants that are supposedly all for you? They will laugh and put you in cuffs.

Be careful.

Hey...you will be arrested...even if you have 14 "holy grail" of recs pasted on every inch of your grow room.

But, as most legit mmj cases go, if you have the right paperwork California DAs are hesitant to prosecute. The game is not over until the judge gavels the case closed.
