Hi, Iceman.
From your pics...your ladies are doing wonderful! If they look better in the pics than they do in the garden try taking some pictures with natural sunlight. My ladies are in the same growing medium and are having pH problems; take a look at the pics and replies just in case you do have a problem. Just make sure to keep your feeding water pH in check.
Take it easy you are doing a great job.

peace

My guess is that your pH is too low.
Low pH causes plants to uptake excessive nutrients causing toxicities and if some nutrients are taken in too much, they'll restrict others.
High pH causes plants to not take up enough nutrients, causing deficiencies.

Your plants don't look deficient, and the twisting leaves tell me that you have excessive nutrient uptake and are getting a P toxicity. Which would mean your pH is too low.

Getting worse day to day! Starting to get worried! Should I use hydrated lime or dolomite to fix pH. Will dolomite be too slow? And can I just water with a higher pH or do I have to adjust in the soil?

I saw a pH up product meant to used in spas in wal mart a while back, does anyone know if this is ok for plants? the ingredients when i checked at the time seemed harmless (can't remember them now).

Is it actually pH? Here are the older leaves that have been more effected.

I'm having the same problems with my current plants, when I had it last time getting the pH higher with distilled water solved it.

K. added dolomite lime to the top few inches of soil and watered with r/o water with some dissolved dolomite lime in it. hope adding the lime to the water wasnt over kill. time to wait and see.

If the lime helps can you let me know? I water with distilled always but if I'm not careful it always starts creeping to 5 or worse.

iceman.
If you have no luck with changing the pH, transplanting worked wonders for my garden but they are in flower so please wait till some one can confirm this as a good idea...also if using happy frog don't forget the lime and cut with perlite or some other inert substrate. The way i found easiest was to fill a tub with phed water if possible ..carefully soak the root ball to dissolve the soil and spray some more off with a shower head, then back into the pot with your prepared mix... water lightly and leave the ladies untied until the stress is over. with the light raised about 6 inchs higher than normal.
oh...yea if you use hydrated lime do not exceed 1.5 tsp per gallon of soil.. water with 1tsp/G then wait till next watering to add another 1 tsp and so on until the pH is fixed...

one more thing if you use the tub for soil work it will defiantly be a pain in the ass x 3 to remove the soil for it...a plunger will work wonders!!!

good luck bro

Transplanting can be a temporary fix, but it's not much better then putting a piece of tape over a hole in a tire. It might not lose air as fast but it will still have a hole letting all the pressure out. I would just find a way to fix the pH problem instead of patching it for a week or two and then be in the same mess without a solution.

Oh and yea when I feed I just mix them with the water and use pH Up/Down to keep it at 7 if it changes at all.

I forgot to put this in, but 2 flushes with distilled got the pH back to around 6 and overnight I had a huge burst of growth so I think that solved my problem.

i added in dolomite lime to the soil and am going to flush with r/o water as well. i'll let you know how it goes, i'll post water and runoff pH. thanks for all the input. oh also working on some pictures, stay tuned.

Lime is not the best thing to use for raising the pH of soil. It's best used as a soil additive to PREVENT pH problems. Using it in the nute solution can work but it's effect is often temporary. Get some pH up. It is a much stronger base and if used correctly will neutralize the acidic soil in one or two doses. Just be very careful with it, it's very strong stuff.
