Does this look like bud rot to anyone

Or am I just being paranoid. This is some maybe 2 year old bud I found in a jar stuck behind a bunch of shit. I was Thinking of using for gummies but now don’t think so. When I pull apart just feels different and looks brown somewhat. Like a very mild early stage rot that never enveloped the entire bud. Is that even possible?

Maybe try taking the pic from different distances so one of the pics is at the camera's focal point.

Also lighting matters a lot if you're using a smart phone camera.

What is the smell like, and the high ?

Thanks for the reply. Haven’t smoked it... my nose is not the best and I only smell a very very mild hint of fruitiness.

I’m thinking this is as good of pics I’m going to get.

It naturally gets brown with time, they look pretty good for 2 year old buds
If you have doubts, take a magnifier for a closer look and of course use your nose to find mold smells...
To me it looks ok.

Bud rot is grey mold. It looks like mold. Like mold on strawberries. Fuzzy webby kind of stuff. If it didn't release spores yet it is whitish grey and if it did it's darker.

Powdery mildew is dusty stuff on leaves.

Not really.
Bud rot is degrading dead bud tissue, grey mold is the fungus which usually starts growing on the rotting parts. They usually happen together but I've also seen them happen separately.

I think the mold first enters the bud and then blooms. The buds do usually feel kind of spongy.

I’m thinking paranoid = yes... it might even be 4 year old bud. Not sure. Thanks for comments everyone. I’m going to dig out magnifying lense and lupe. Great ideas.

Do you have access to any Cannabis that was harvested more recently ?

Though actually I am revealing my own personal bias - I like pot that is 1 to 10 months old.
