It's my understanding the heating of the cannabis in the process of making cannabutter decarboxylates the thc, is this correct?? Thanks, looking for a definitive answer.
Hey BigBudBill, thanks for the link, read it all, great info. Thanks to all posting, still a little uncertain about the cannabutter process to effectivey decarb, then using it to cook. I make cannabutter in a crock pot(cannabis not previously decarboxylated), about 4-hours at a low simmer(200-210f+-), then usually cook cookies at 325-350f(using the butter in the recipe) for 10-15min. Would I have a more potent medibles with decarboxylating the cannabis before I make the butter. I'll try the 250f suggested by greywolf for my next batch, but still would like input on the combined processes of making the cannabutter and cooking at the temps I use. Thanks to all.
