so ive been using a lot of silicon lately, more than usual, to help my plants with the summer heat, one thing i noticed however is that after 12 weeks of this treatment the stems are a totally different consistency than without silicon...
when i bend a stem now it cracks loudly and splits completely, it doesn't just bend in half like they used to, the same with the leaves, a sharp downward tug will snap large fan leaves off with ease, while before i used to have to pinch it with my fingernails to remove...
i am guessing it's either the silicon or the summer heat that is causing this, it's not a problem, because the stems are stronger now than they ever were...im just curious as to whether its silicon causing it. it's sorta like the difference between bending hardened steal over regular steal, hardened steal might be stronger, but it will break before it bends...just like my stems..
i have been adding it at about 1-2 milliliters per gallon at every watering.
