Does More Light = More Height?

if youre looking for high yield with cfls, you shouldnt want more vertical growth, but more on side branches with training and pruning. this causes the plant to bush out with several tops rather than having 1 top. cfls can only penetrate effectively into the canopy a few inches. so if you have one tall plant, the light reaching the lower budsites would be too weak and youll be left with many popcorn buds. through training/pruning, you will get the majority of the plant to be in the "sweet spot" of the cfls, promoting higher yield and bud growth.

...............scrog anyone? perfect for cfls cause they can't penetrate, or just a lot of sidelighting like was already mentioned

i think LST over SCROG if we take into consideration his limited vertical growth pls the usage of CFLS....and to answer your question, more light doesn't pertain to just more height...more light=better growth, if your worried about your trees gettin to tall with too much light...train them....oh yea and best advice...search...i think thats the best for us noobies...hahah,but regardless.....Gud Luck....durty out

more light = a bigger plant so yes more light = more height. If you waited til after strecth has stopped after the 2nd week of flower I would think you could add more light then and not worry about any additional height while adding weight to the buds.

hl8, in regards to when to start lst, you can pretty much start whenever you wish. It is probably a good idea to make sure the plant is strong enough, I usually start to train my plants at about 8" or the third or forth internode. It really depends on your height restrictions.
As gronut stated more light just equals faster growth, but if you train your plant, fast growth is good. The faster you fill your canopy, the sooner you can flower your plant.
In addition, from what I have read, flowering from seed is not conducive to all strains, for instance some indicas have little to no stretch at all, which would leave you with a 2" bud lol.
What strain are you using?

I believe a sativa is your best bet for flowering from seed. The high you are describing sounds like a sativa or sat hybrid dom. strain. I actually just harvested some ww outdoors. She is kinda smelly, but not in a skunky smell. Early smoke rport, as it has not had nearly enough time to cure is its a creeper that leads to couch lock.Cant wait for the finshed product. Anyway lemme know when you start your grow id like to follow it.
