Does anyone here set up growrooms for their friends?

When I moved to my new place. I could not grow there so I had to explore other options. I ended up setting up grow rooms for 3 different individuals...hoping that if I helped them get some free smoke, I'd get mine back in return...


..their house, their electricity...my lights, my skills [or lack of ]....


well here's how it went down....

I'll skip the details...one of them(closest friend)..just got so high that he didn't even know how to function(I didn't get shit from helping this asshole, not even one gram)..one of them actually sold his plant mid flower to somebody I didn't know for 100 bucks..the last one got kicked out of his apartment...


I don't think I could have stressed enough how much they needed to keep their ****in' trap shut...but every single one of them squeeled to somebody...


lesson out of all this -- "DO NOT TRUST STONERS" (99% of them have big mouths and bigger egos)

you want to help somebody...tell them to find another hobby.

our friend got robbed at gunpoint at home because word got around that there was a lot more going down at his location than there really was...sad and scary.

ive only helped 2 people as far and both of them are family, its great cause they order seeds and whatnot and i usually get something out if it, ive got all of them growing diffrent genetics right now so that when i want them theres alway something diffrent. i will be helping one more person who ive known and trusted for over 8 years, once he moves into his new apt. just a small personal grow. personally if there was a way to do it i would just help people set up grow rooms as a business, well i guess i could. it just wouldnt be for MJ. Indoor tomatoes and pepper gardens, sounds like a good idea to me. its great giving something away for free, and very satisfying to know you helped someone else. its a shame the one thing im good at/dedicated to i can go do jail for.

sound like some kind of neighborhood growclub or something.Not in this neck of the woods.

So your telling me all the people u help with set ups are really thinking its for tomatoes. At no way was I saying that where I live its like a growing club but out of my 200 friends 3 of them grow and they are the only 3 that know and have respect for each other as fellow growers, as we grew up togther and know each other for a decade all 3 of us and kinda found out by seeing stuff at there house that only growers have like a ph pen haha. Plus it is nice to share techniques, clones, and seeds. At no way im saying this is a good choice to, I do actually regret telling anyone because you never know what someone could do, but I do trust them and they trust me.

I have helped a few friends setup grows, however only one of them actually followed rule #1. They also all were in the younger generation, so I was able to tell them to go to a site with questions, and as far as they knew "I really liked reading about growing and had found a great site for it."

However, out of few i set up, only one really listened to me, same one that listened about rule#1, and same one that grew the most impressive bagseed i have ever seen.

Another one thought it would be a "good idea" to leave the males in the with females , he was very stubborn, but had a fairly greenthumb and thought it would be best to let nature take it course

Granted I don't have any friends here that I would help, except for my only person I get smoke from...because he is reasonable and doesn't overcharge when he could.

I made the mistake of showing my plants to a couple good friends. I told them about an hour later that it was a mistake on my part. They immediatley say, "oh, we're cool man. We won't say shit to anyone." The next time I have them over to my place they bring over another dude who wasn't supposed to know and the first thing he says is, "So can I see'em?"

A couple weeks later they're chillin at my crib, and a different dude they know stops by my place. We're just chillin, blazin on some Hashberry I grew. And out of no where, one of my buddies, "yeah, this dude grew this."


The lesson I learned....NEVER EVER tell people you're growing. People love to say that they know Greenthumb.

Dude You just took the words out of my mouth. Basically the same type stuff that you are describing happened with me. So I tell no one and after my current grow Im going to take a break from growing and not tell anyone when i start back.

the gf and i ran into a freind of hers from a like a year ago, (i had made the mistake of talking to someone i thought was cool but later turned out to be a big mouth.) anyways she says to me.. so i hear you are growing..... i was like... uhhh.... no actually i was but stopped, i decided to join the police academy. she totally bought it, (sucker) so was like aww good for you.. thats too bad, i heard your stuff was good, i started a grow of my own.. i was like you dumb B****, i just told you i joined the police academy and your telling me about your grow... good freakin luck with that...

im so glad i got away from all those people, dont tell a soul..... ever.. best advise

Nope! I keep my mouth shut. In the rare instance a group of friends start talking about growing, i act ignorant and ask a lot of questions, like, "I didn't know you could grow weed insdie, how the **** could you do that? Do you need a sky light in your house?"
