Does anyone else remember that book written by a member about IC, or did I dream it?

Hi.
A few years back, someone posted a link to a book that a member/ex member had written, either about ICMag, or grow forums in general.
I can't find it and the thread is no longer here due to server space.

If anybody can remember what it was called or has the link, please shoot it my way.

Thank You.:tiphat:

Or please just post that you remember that it does exist.

TY

You might be thinking of Jorge Cervantes. Here is a link to his personal info page. If you look under the "about me" section, it tells about him and his book.

Cheers mate, but that wasn't it.

I disappeared from here for about 3 years, and not longer after my sudden return, someone posted a thread asbout this book, which had been written by a members talking about the forums.
I got a mention and so did Guinea Pig, along with others...I think Herb Weedman may have been mentioned too.
I think it was a link to the authors facebook.. It wasn't a grow book, it was about the froums, the sharing of info and the personalities you encounter...I think.

Trouble is so many members have moved on, i don't know how many will remember it. And I will look silly:)

I think it was an article a "reporter" did back when the mongoose was running wild trying to stage a failed takeover. There was a lot of fighting and a lot of people were quoted/mentioned for the article. Really wasn't a good time because of all the bullshit that he had started.
Like I said, "I think". But then again, sometimes I try to think and nothing happens.

Naaa, it was long after the Mongoose saga.
I stopped looking at IC for a couple of years and came back in 2011, It was some time not long after that....

Never heard of one.

I really doubt there's enough to write a book just about icmag.

You sure you don't mean a magazine article?

To my memory, it was a link to a facebook page, promoting the book. I think it was about growing forums in general, but ICmag featured large due to it's status. Someone saw it and made a thread in the den. I wish I'd saved the link.

Are all the really old posts completely gone, is it all stored offline in the hope that we can afford to grow again one day?

If I could go through my old posts I could find the time I returned from my hiatus and would find it easily. Just an observation, I know even if that data did still exist, you couldn't put it online just for me to go trawling for 3 year old posts:).

All I remember was it gave a list of "Legendary" members that included me and guineapig.

I remember observing at the time that I don't know why I am legendary, as my grows were pretty average small homegrows, and my skills nothing special at all.
