Does a lightbulb give off forms of energy other than visible light?

So scientists have measured a lightbulb, to see if it puts off energy in spectrums besides heat and light?

I did google..but I didn't get what I wanted. Everyone says light...which is obvious since thats the form of energy that our eye can pick up. Heat (infrared) is another. But who says it doesn't produce another type of energy? Its kinda part of another question thats why I'm wondering.

Certain lights have been known to make Birds stop singing, Zulu-teenagers dance, and Eskimo's horny.

Last year a T-12 high output flourescent won the Boston marathon.

Lets not forget Hortilux's 1000w "Super Blue" won the Kentucky Derby !

Damn! All my lights do is plot to take over the free world! How did other light owners get theirs to race? I keep telling mine they need more exercise but they just tell me to leave them alone, they're busy plotting. But they still need me...they can't draw up their manifesto...no oppossible thumbs keep them from writing. But they can spell better than me.

Knna thanks for your post. I guess I still don't know exactly what other types of radiation bulbs can emit other than IR, Heat, Visible, and UV.

What I ultimately want to know, is more complicated. Some people will produce less melatonin at night if there is a light source nearby. But turns out, you don't need your eyes to detect the light source. So I'm wondering if there is a form of radiation other than what you showed in that graph, that light puts out... and this is what is actually the real cause of "light" induced hormone and seasonal changes.

Kinda complicated haha.

Possibly. There is talk that the pineal gland is sensitive to Electro Magnetic Frequencies... and light is definitely an EMF. Also they now think, (or know?) that the pineal gland helps us navigate by detecting earth's magnetic fields...

I have ALWAYS been good at knowing where the **** i was going without even trying really. so i think my pineal gland is very sensitive in that... which explains why i might be really sensitive to light in general, which I am. some people aren't...

Does any know if some type of light bulb can be used as a source of light for a home version of doing solar bowls?.

Also, is 50x good enough to use on say a full spectrum lightbulb?
