have some funny looking black stuff on roots and some leaves are showing signs of other issues...

the black stuff comes right off and i dont feel it slimy. can it be the Liquid Karma or Floralicious Grow i added in my Rez change yesterday?






You see them non sharp leaves down in the bottom?

lol the non sharp leaves down at the bottom? Ur plants look healthy and fine man, keep up what ur doin....yah fertz/additives can dye ur roots, just make sure that ur res temp stays down. If u want to be real safe i would use Flora Shield in ur res...i like to use the stuff when i grow hydro just to be on the safe side u no? Nothin like loosing ur whole crop when u coulda spent $25 to prevent root rot.

Oh BTW: I dont know if this is always true but the one time i had root rot on my ladies it started from the tips of the roots and spread to the stalk of the plant if you see what im sayin... but like i said i dont know if this is always the case.

temps stay between 67-70 i got one hell of a chiller hooked up to my system

the florashield works with beneficials? i use CannaZyme through out my whole cycle

well i had some other issues come up, i will get pictures tomorrow. The fan leaves has the tips curling in which i think is telling me its over fert, ppm was around 870-880. Some of the leaves where real real dry and brittle if you touched them u can crumble them up to dust.. i dropped the ppm's to about 800..

anyone ever have the dry leaves happen to them? the dry ones where scattered not just in the bottom

Sounds like a hot shot of nute, make sure ur ppm reader is calibrated...I use the Flora Shield along side the Lucas formula...
But the tips of the leaves are brown and crunchy? Well if it didnt burn em to bad then just chill out on the ferts...just sounds like to much nutes.

I would watch that to make sure it does not spread; right now it does not look like root rot, but normally when nutes stain roots it stains most of them...... do you add nutes to the netpot or lift the lid up when you add nutes? It looked like it possibly floated to the top and gunk got stuck to the roots so I would not worry about anything right now just keep up what you are doing like dontbanme has stated

no top feeding, i will keep an eye on it tho and like stated i will dump the LK the Floralicious Grow is also black so that might go aswell in the next rez change

No you don't top feed or no you do top feed?

Ya, it looks like the nutes collected or bubbled at the top causing what you see which tends to happen and is very common

it was about 870-880 i brought it down to about 810 everything seemed to have stopped but we'll see, there a sativa strain so i think i can back down some more on them

as far as my equipment being calibrated i check them every 3 days or so prolly to much lol/ Its a tri-meter ph is set at about 5.8 creeps upto 6.0 and remains there pretty much

well this stuff is popping up in all sorts of random places and is not looking like nute burn to me as most tips are nice, who knows

this is the only one looking like this with all the rusted spots and stuff..





the rest is coming up like this and like stated before some leaves are extremely dry they crumble to dust when touched














most of the lower leaves are nice and green this stuff is mostly around the middle or top of the tree. my ppm rised from 810 to 830 in the past couple days which is telling me they require less nutes. The PH is steady between 5.8 6.0

Sounds like they require a good flush, they are still burning, you have too much nutes IMHO and Liquid Kharma is known to stain the roots

don't know about a flush as that would require a ton of water, but i dropped the PPM's down to 750-760 lets see tomorrow or the next day how they are when i go check on em
