Do you wear eye contacts?

If so is it annoying to wear them when you're high? Because they seem to annoy the hell out of me when I'm really high. I mean sometimes it's fine but when I'm really high and my eyes are red and stuff it's annoying.

I wear contacts and admit that they get a little dried out after a few quality sessions...

The trick is to always keep solution and a contact case in your vehicle. You can take them out, bake with your friends, then put them back in later.

As space ghost said, you can also just wear glasses, but I don't care for having things on my face. I can't wait till I can afford laser surgery...

I'd wait on that laser surgery, there have been a lot of negative results coming from that..

I do wear contacts though and I hate it when my eyes get really dry from smoking, but I think its only when a lot of smoke gets into my eyes. If you wear contacts and put in eye drops, especially after smoking, they will probably dry out 15 minutes later.

I wear contacts everyday... I don't even own glasses anymore since they broke. My eyes do get dry once in awhile but it's not bad. Using eye drops seems to dry them out even more in the long run.

it depends on the strain your smokeing!
i find some strains make my eyes water, infact if im high and play pc games (battlefield, guitar hero, C&C) my eyes gush liquid.
otherwise visine or saline solution works well. a drop later and im good.

I have both glasses and contacts...

And you can think its retarded all you want to, but I've seen the results and I'm impressed.

Get this: my mother is in her early 50's, and has been legally blind in one eye since childhood. The lens for that eye in her glasses was at least a quarter inch thick if not more. Three years ago, she decided she was going to get laser eye surgery. It's an outpatient procedure, so she went in one morning, got the treatment, and was out a few hours later. After waiting the requisite 24 hours to remove her bandages, she could see 20/20 in her good eye and 20/40 in the bad one. That afternoon she applied for a new driver's license and had all of her vision restrictions removed.

I've met others who've sung it's praises as well. If it's the idea of surgery that bothers you, thats a whole other matter...

I dont know if it'd be of any help, but you may want to try fexofenadine hydrochloride (brand names include Telfast, Xergic), and it comes in 60, 120, and 180mg tablets and it doesnt cost much. No need for a prescription, its over-the-counter stuff. Its effective against itching, allergies, hayfever, and itchy/watery eyes, that sort of thing. I originally got it to combat itching when i get eczema sometimes (usually just on my fingers) which its very effective at, but last week I had pretty full-on hayfever after doing some manual C99 pollenation - sneezing heaps, runny nose, red and itchy and watery eyes, but the 180mg tablet absolutely nailed it, I was basically cured half an hour later. Its pretty awesome stuff! But i have no idea if it'd help in regards to your contacts

I just stick with glasses. I have contacts, but ... meh.. the only time I use them is in winter when Im biking and it's 30 below and I need to put on ski goggles.

For general outdoors, I have prescription Maui Jim sunglasses, indoors, just glasses

I've had glasses for 30+ years, and that's it, I've never tried contacts and never will. I've seen too many people having problems by using eye contacts.

well you got started this thread asking if other people hate wearing their contacts when high.. That's a good reason enough for me not to want to wear contacts, + they fall out during contact sports, swimming, they are not exactly healthy(oxygen levels),,

The surgery works its just a luxury.. if ya got the dough get it done though. I've met at least a hundered or more people in my life that i've talked to about it... they all love it. i just haven't been able to talk any of them into paying for my eyes too. ;D

Yep. Been wearing them for about seven years now. Not the same pair, mind you. I've considered lasik because I really get tired of having to care for the contacts, update prescriptions and buy contacts. I think it would save money in the long run as long as there were no serious risks. Only thing that's kept me from it is the money (and possible malpractice.) Insurance may cover it but I'd probably have a higher premium or a high deductible. I've always wanted my eyesight to be normal without contacts or glasses. I've always wanted to be not partially color-blind, also but I don't see science fixing that anytime soon. If and when I do get lasik, you can be sure I'll research the living hell out of it and the team that works on me.

I used to wear contacts, but I stopped. Too much of a pain if you ask me, I'd rather just wear glasses. When I can afford it someday, I will absolutely get the lasic procedure.

I have the same problem and i really can play video games when im high due to this problem. My contacts dry out so bad that they practically fuse to my eye and computers. I dont know if its the staring or what but i cant handle it. Also in general they get dry when im high. Ill go for the laser surgery just none of those discount ones. Its funny theres a few out there that you dont hear about any more. If we slip its half off hahahahah. Youch.

No, I dont think i'd be able to put contacts in... I cant even seem to get my finger anywhere near my eyes.

I wear glasses but i'm terrible with them, they're all smashed up because im not careful. Its got to the point where I only wear them while driving since my ghetto fixes (paperclips etc holding them together) mean they really cant be worn in public.

I need new ones :/ i'll just have to be extra careful this time. Until I can afford a new pair, i'm the guy sitting right at the front of lectures :p

Its quite amazing how used you get to having bad eyes, its not as if I cant see, I just cant make out distant detail - its never really bothered me and i've never felt truely comfortable wearing my glasses all the time. I guess im an ideal candidate for laser surgery, but im a stinking poor student.
