ok i can get a 52 inch by 52 inch by 7 ft tall hydro hut
brand new it will cost me 100 dollars and 100 to ship so for 200 just for the hut with the hanging bracket for light and the plug box do you all think its worth that?

thanks
oh and if any has one do they work very good and are they pretty light tight?

It's only worth it if you dont have the time to build your own and have 200.00 lyin around.

Otherwise there are many other, way cheaper solutions out there - but most require trips to the store and putting things together.

Worth it is always relative, for some it's worth it to pay to have their grass mowed - others, who have the time to do it themselves, dont see it that way.

Right on BPB.... I rarely like telling someone not to buy something, would rather then deduce it for themselves.

As far as I have found these types of huts, and other pre-fab grow chambers, are fantastic for someone who doesnt have the time, skill or will to craft their own. Personally, I have spent more in wood, hinges, wood working tools, etc than I probably would have paid buying one of these.

But there's nothin like growin in your own, home-made box.... just somethin about it being made by me. ;)

yeah i know what you mean i do like to make things myself and you can design it how ever you want it ends up costing more or about the same if you do it to perfection but thats half the fun i just thought maybe they would reduce the air movement need but i think that was a stupid thought because its plastic that dont breath then you would have to worry about smells leaking out also lol

ill just have to use the good old noggin and make a sweet cab myself i think ill make a chamber 6ft long 7 ft tall 3 wide so i can do a flower room 4 ft by 3 ft by 7 tall for the pots because i like organics well fox farm nutes

and then ill have a 3 ft tall 3 ft deep and 2ft wide mother chamber and a 2 ft tall by 3ft deep by 2 ft wide veg and 1ft by 2ft by 3 ft long chamber for the inner guts ii got lighting in mind and almost the rest just got to finish figureing out how i want to do the scrubber and cool hood from the flower room like if i should just have the cool hood with a fan at end sucking the air from flower chamber into the guts chamber where a scrubber filter shots it out back or if i need the scrubber in the flower room but if i connect all exhaust into the guts room then i can remove the scent from each chamber with 1 big filter we shall see

thank again
also hello karl thanks for the support

I payed $300 for my hydro hut and think it's a great purchase so if you can get it cheaper with extras to boot I say go for it. The quality of the hut is superb and as long as you put the fan and the carbon scrubber in the hut and vent the air outside it will create negative pressure in the hut keeping all the smells under control. The metal frame construction is sturdy and makes it easy to put up/take down and the thing stores in a very small amount of space when you have to move grows or just dismantale to hide from friends and relatives.

Building your own cabs is fun and all but I have found them to be very heavy and a pain in the ass. I consider the hydro hut original 52 in x 52 in x 7 feet to be one of my favorite purchases
