When I am lazy and don't feel like making butter I use kif. I have gotten high this way for years. I was flat out told it is all in my head. The guy said he had scientific proof but could not produce it. Am I wrong?

I saw that thread and you are most definitely correct. Just by the title of his/her thread you can tell they have not experienced potent edibles and really only know what they read. Several times in that thread they state "its only weed" like edibles cannot cripple you, lol. One day they will learn.

You're right, but running your weed through the butter/oil before cooking optimizes the amount of THC getting into the butter/oil. If the THC doesn't attach to a oil/fat molecule, it passes on through your system. Bubbling around in the butter/oil, those little THC molecules can't help but get attached!

Just dumping your pot into a brownie mix that contains butter or oil, works, but there is no guarantee that each and every little molecule of THC will get attached to some oil in the batter. Most WILL get attached, and you likely wouldn't notice THAT much difference in the high. - Granny

You could also use vinegar and use as a fried fish dressing. Or vegetable glycerin and even vodka, and make some ultra brownies with a bit of chili powder. But butter is best for delectable brownies. If you do not, more is wasted and or required. The brownie mix may have some fat in it so while it may take more, it would be optimal to simmer in butter even for just a minute.

Did you really make a thread over this? god, why is this forum flooded with childish people. I have tried eating THC in raw form before, and never felt any effect. So from MY experiences, i would have to say it doesn't work. Maybe it does for you, but not for me. Don't get your panties in a bunch because i have a different opinion than you. I am here to share my knowledge and at the same time learn new things, not to bicker with someone like you. If you care that much, send me a pm. There is no need to make a thread over it, which i believe is against the rules to begin with.

brookie- Keep thinking that, i have eaten plenty of edibles. I have never been "crippled", i've had some very strong brownies and fell asleep because of them but i have never not been able to move. Maybe don't put Ketamine in your brownies next time?

Sweety, This post has nothing to do with you. You told me i am wrong and I want to make sure I am not, And if I am proved I would like to know. Trying to learn in other words.
Now. You are more than welcome in my post, but I would like any involvement to be a positive one. That goes for any one posting. You can go a head and mingle, but if you are going to persist with I am wrong please bring this scientific proof you talk about. Also you must remember this isn't about witch way is better than the other,
Thanks for all who are showing up and enjoy the nice kif buffet ; )

To be perfectly honest, i could care less. Do you really care about this that much? We are all here to get along, you are obviously not. If you want to continue this, pm me. There is no reason to make a thread on it, i am a grower...i don't sit on here all day arguing with little kids.

From an article on WebMD:
http://www.emedicine.com/med/topic265.htm

quote:

Smoking is the most common and efficient means of ingestion, the dose being titrated by the user through varying the depth and frequency of inhalation. THC can also be extracted by fat-containing foods or dissolved in oil for pharmaceutical purposes. Synthetic cannabinoids have existed that are more potent and somewhat more water soluble

There's a much more productive discussion on the injestion of herb in water vs. oils in the "ganja tea" thread on this forum.

The general consensus there is that lipids are much more efficient as a carrier, though the quality of the feeling might be different.

One fellow mentions that eating large quantities of raw herb causes little more than green turds.
