Mine are 30psi and Costco often puts 34psi; in the summer when its' dry, that isn't a problem and I get better gas mileage. In the winter--i request the 30psi.

I buy my tires at Costco; I like the hazard insurance-nationwide, that comes with the tires. They check the air pressure and rotate as often as I ask a part of the cost of the tire. I put new tires on a vehicle and managed to get a cactus thorn in the side of the tire, they switched it out..charge for wear was $10; not bad. jpt

Actually, the pressure noted on the tire is the maximum pressure for that tire, not the recommended level. It will not give you the best wear - the center of the tire will have a higher wear rate from over-inflation.

It might be better than the Les Schwaub routine though - that guy probably is paying more attention to you than the tire gauge.

So far, wearing very evenly. With the lower pressure in the winter~it makes up for the higher one, in the summer.

New Michelin's..3 years ago; the little numbly stubs..finally wore off about 6 mos. ago.

I bet theres another tire shop that would give you free air. I don't need to :eyelash:

I thought if I included that, you wouldn't confuse me for a man flirting with tire guys. lol

Most in the Inland Empire charge more for the 'nitro' air, they put in. With Costco's service and warranty, I wouldn't 'chance' anyone else messing with my air! jpt

I go to Hank's Tires ...

Hank's is around like he has been since 1953 ..

At least on the weekends, he likes the women.

They are not a discount shop, but you get what you pay for.

Peace :tiphat:
