Do you guys get excessive evaporation when you use your ac?

One of my bigger plants is having about 2-3 gallons per day of fluid dissapearing. Some of it is being downed by the plant, but the ppm increases about 100-200 ppm per day. Are you guys having these problems with ac units in small areas? My area is 10 x 5 x 8.

If you're nutes are getting more concentrated, you might want to consider backing off on the nute strength a little. You can run a drain line off the back of the AC into your res if you're concerned about losing too much water too fast.

I use a window and a portable in an 8 by 8 room and havent encountered that,I even use a dehumid when lights are off,I doubt the AC is responsible

If your running a dro setup take and flush the roots about 5 times with pure mineral water, this will remove the excess nute "salt" from the dirt and keep from burning the plants, if you plant is healthy I wouldn't worry about it, if your still in Veg, I would leave the ac off to keep the humidity up.

most modern AC units have dehumidifiers... so (i assume) your "buckets" are DWC, which creates lots of droplets in the air, which are probably circulated thru the AC. Just top off more often. Consider making an automatic float switch system so you don't have to do it manually, if you are going to stick with your current setup for a long time.
