Occasionally when I smoke, I start to feel a wierd feeling on my body that forces me to lay down on a couch or hop in bed. And if I stand up or sit upright I feel really sick...

It always happens to me randomly, like 1 in every 10 highs will be like this. I'm trying to figure out of there's something i'm doing wrong that causes this to happen. I didnt even smoke that much......... probably .3gs

well man, if you can, describe the 'sick' feeling better, what do you mean? nauseus? dizzy/light headed? too tired? what?
just a few tips: smoke less, don't smoke everyday, see whether if this 'sick' feeling comes in times when you have eaten certain specific foods or taken any medicines; watch out for stress too, most times it is subtle and we don't know we're stressed...
back in the day, when i used to smoke everyday, my body would get saturated of cannabis and would naturally reject it by making me feel bad rather than high, excess is usually the cuprit behind these type of 'episodes'.
be well. peace.

That have happened to me several times, mostly due to smoking way too much. Laying down, sitting down comfortably is a good way to solve it, have some small snack to get your blood sugar back on level and something to drink will help most of the time.

Yeh this is more than likely due to your blood sugar level being low, getttin high can intifere with it,,,try looking up Chromium this can help balance your blood sugar..if it persists then go and see yor doctor and have a blood sample taken to check your blood sugar levels...peace

It happens to me quite a bit when I smoke all day long. Never when I first wake up and get a coffee or big orange juice and toke. Just when im lagged out later in the day and just am lazy and want to lay down.

The only time I ever felt sick from smoking was when I took a few bong rips down in Key West. I went out in the 95 degree 100% humidity weather and nearly puked. The combination of dank and high heat is not a good mixture.

lol ..... He's not a real doctor ... just a damn fine one ... he he he
If its possibly linked to something else you should get it checked out .... I know of people getting really tense /feeling faint/ and so on but its usually just that being tense or feeling low .... if you dont notice these things normally .
Some people call it a "Whitey"
and its also Perfectly normal ... it has alot to do with blood sugar levels and how you feel generally

but if you mean sick by retching ... like your throat wants to heave but theres nothing there

And then you feel faint ....

I gotta say it sounds like a psycosis .... 0.3 isnt enough to give anyone that kinda reaction .... Unless your allergic lol which would be a first ....
So I gotta say thats more likely its your minds way of telling you to put the joint down .... do something else......
and I dont mean more drugs lol

Peace

eating well does not always equal eating a lot btw... just making the point. avoid refined sugars and junk food.

It could be the chemicals in the bud. I am going through something right now where the smoke is so uncured or highly nutriated that I feel as though it has given me an allergic reaction, i'm sceptical to take another hit but I have to that's my name. Okay, here goes, i get a pinch in my throat and a wincing sort of pain in my ears sort of like a burn or what a kiwi does to you when you eat it. I want to cough. I cant' hold a hit down. I have to be under the weather, severly fatigued, or a combination of factors. Crazy. I hope it goes away for you man.

If I got sick when I smoked, I would no longer smoke...

so no man. I've seen a kid puke off a blunt tho. He no longer smokes, and if this really does happen 10 % of the time I'd say it's not worth it man...
