yes you do because it will effect the clone when it gets roots, just put the cubes in some water over night and it should be fine because what has a high Ph is not the rockwool but the glue holding it together that needs to be washed out
When I put my cutting in the rw cube,I've just pulled it out of a tray soaking and when I put it under the dome you can say its pretty much sopping all the water it can carry,I dont shake any out at all.Normally on day 4 or 5 I'll have to rewater them with water and olivias cloning solution,I dont want them to dry too quickly so they're soaked soppin when they go in.
and to add to this...u can use any acid to get the ph level of your water down...well not any but most citrus acids and such...a garden store has ph down for 7 bucks...and to raise the ph use epsom salts...but the ph is important for cloning...you dont wanna burn the babies...they are young and delicate...and the clones root faster with lil water...generally i just mist the bottoms of my cubes...the roots need to go searching for water...it helps build up the rootmass faster if its only a lil bit wet...just mist 2 or 3 times a day at the base of the rw.
