do i need 2 use a window?

Hi everyone.. basiclly my question is the title.. do i need to use a window for a grow for the air.. i want to grow 12 plants and use around 1200 watts... please help.. thanx in advance/....

well, you need ventilation for sure but not a window. You will need a inline fan pushing air out and atleast a passive intake for air. Explain you setup a little more. A room? tent? will the incoming air be already cooled like in a house or are you gonna pull air from outside?
HPS or other lights?

read up a bit on airflow. You can either do it right or just "rig" it but youll get much better results doing it correctly.
Keep in mind if your standing in a room and the air is 75f and you pull air into a tent with a hps or mh bulb of 400, 600 or 1000 watt that unless your gonna use air cooled reflectors that temps will go much much higher

If its easier try to at least exhaust the warm air from your tent outside the room you're pulling air into the tent from. It will make a huge difference on temps which can have a huge impact on quality and quantity of buds you end up with.

Window or cut holes in your ceiling. lol You need to get the hot air out of the room. A tent with 2 6" passive intakes on the floor. Then hang a 6" Can Fan/Filter at the top of the tent with bungee cords. A bigger fans even better, but then you can't really hang it.

Read up on ventilation. I learned EVERYTHING on this site!

as a side note, anything that can be seen from outside the house should look normal. LEO often use weird looking things to consider a grow room or place.
