Do *all* feminized seeds run the risk of seeding the garden?

Hey all,

New grower here,

I am going with all regular seed, buuut decided to try a couple of the CBD Crew offerings which only seem to be feminized..

I hear of feminized seeds turning out to be males or hermaphrodites. I'm new to all this so I don't know too much yet...

But, I was wondering if a feminized seed could run risk of ruining my other plants? Would I be able to tell if the plant were going male or hermaphrodite before it's too late?

Might cull them now if so, i'd hate to ruin all my other $eeds.

Thanks...

No. If a properly selected female was reversed (properly selected as in tested to ensure no intersex traits), hermies should not be an issue.

Lots of people enjoy using female seeds, because they get only females.

All plants run a risk of intersex traits period. Fem or reg there is a chance you will get a herm, so be vigilant on all new plants and learn to clone if you don't already so you can have a tested female you can depend on.

The key is to choose from reputable breeder/s and or gaining experience with hands-on ..

Futhermore a stable environment and daily routine would also help support it.

For production fem is a great way, if clones is not a option.

Do not be afraid of using fem seeds, but go with common sense.

Its like if I booked a carpenter and He wacked it all up, does that mean that all carpenters should be avoided future wise? (I know its a broad generalisation, but ya get the idea)

so be vigilant on all new plants

So, basically….

Can you *always* cull the intersex plants before it's "too late"…I don't want to fudge up my other plants.

Will be cloning any keepers, and keeping the P1 mothers in veg.

"Trusted Breeder"..Is that an oxymoron?! Lol. Jk. Kinda. I went with CBD Crew bc I wanted cbd's. I've heard they were the best, i.e. "reputable cbd breeder", but still had some herm problems (As it seems, ALL feminized seeds run that risk)

You can easily pull any intersexed plants and once in late flowers, You can closely inspect bud sites for any eventually pre/flowers and then cull before its enough developed to slip any and eventually produced pollen (viable or not)
