DJI Mavic Pro, Drones in general

Hey everybody, who has a drone? Just ordered my first real drone, the DJI mavic pro. (day before they came out with the Mavic platinum ) I live in the hills, 3k feet, with lots of nature around me. Should be loads of fun.

Anybody else get their drone on?

I just got a cheapie form wally world & broke it within a month flying into the surrounding trees. It's fun today flying around but it's a cheapie, as I said, and is lacking in it's performance. For some reason it wont fly while the camera gimble is plugged in so I fly with the camera at a fixed angle. Customer service is a fucking joke so I wouldn't suggest anybody get any drones from Wally World or from ProMark.

Been looking at those dji drones for a while now.
That Mavic pro isn't cheap. I hope you've gott a little bit of flying experience.

Zero flying experience, and the thing flies like a dream. Just took it out over Lake Pinecrest in Nor Cal, and it performed extremely well. Flew it 4k ft away, chased people on boats, even got a flash from a cutie. Amazed how smart these machines are now. Just have to figure out the camera, as I was taking video that was washed out from too much sun.

Beware who you mess with/ chase...yeehaw..call me for lake drone recovery..lol

Didn't really chase per say, just followed then passed. Law states you have to be X ft away from people, and since I am learning I stayed 2x feed away.

No recovery from this lake, it's deep.
