 Question for all the growers out there that have grown out multiple strains of DJ's. What in your opinion is the easiest to grow (least fert. sensitive, least deficiencies & most vigor) of all DJ's strains available today ???... Peace :canabis:

I have grown True Blue in several crosses and didnt find it that difficult to grow. Just go careful on the nutes. It may be harder to grow in pure form though, just my two cents.

All the ones I've tried were pretty easy just go easy on the ferts until you know what they can take.

DJ Blueberry.... grew fine and we had high temps... but it was pretty sensitive to nutes in soil....... so was white russian....

Dj's Blueberry was imo not too hard on a new grower. If you pay attention to your nutes and keep the heat down it is a easy grow for most. The more sativa-ish varieties of his (true bb and F-13) maybe a little harder to deal with than his indica phenos.

Go with the Grape:

Go with the Grape:

I've grown sevral, i'd go as far as saying i'm a DJ fan. If your looking for ease stay away from the F-13 and Flo (Flo, becouse of the difernt flowering time...6wk and then 7th week multi harvest) both i would however say are my personal fav. but require there own "strain" style of care. Grape krush is 8-9 wk ripening window, usaly forgiveing with mild mistakes in feeding, watering, soil, ect. (don't take that as a reason not to avoid all mistakes) and some of the GK's have a flavor in the Shiraz wine spectrum. GK is mostly locked down for the "crinkle leaf" gene mutation, this is a mutation that makes at least some of the leafs on most plants "crinkle" and grow rather odd. This mutant gene carries with it other traits, usaly much stronger than you can imagen smell and flavor, and mad resin production, the more expreced the gene is (the crazyer looking the leaves are) the better. if one is not made aware of the mutaion and that it is a very "good" mutaion one would proble think they F'd up somehow. sorry to be long winded, but like i said... GK if your looking for a true gem from DJ but eather don't want or are not ready for the hassel that comes with some of the more exotic stuff the man has. Grow for all the right reasons. GF

just love the blues & they will grow fine. F13 is not so hard to grow, less stretching than Flo and with very nice trichome production ...but they are flowering different. some plants have a ripe center flower while the lower branches are full of fresh, clean trics. This uneven flowering reminds of the Thai traits... but it's nothing special, just 2 or more harvest times. the matured herb is cut and the plant is finishing the other stuff in a week or so:)

...some pics from this fine sativa :D

hey xyz.. could u point out which pics of the lower stuff were taken at what time.. trying to get a feel for what the popcorns develope into in the last week because my flos popcorn was pretty underdeveloped.. seems like it couldn't have grown all that much in one more week but that would be a nice trick to use if you say it does work well..

Good idea for a thread.

I'm interested in info on these too. I'm not worried about the "easiest" strain, but rather in the one best suited for me.

Which is the most interesting in taste and smell out of F-13, Flo & BB? :chin:

I'm into sativas, so an up high would be cool, but I'm happy to try an indica, for wants of trying something of DJ's.

your question about the most interesting smell/taste is depending on what you like. The Flo and berry have different appeals but are both great in their own way. The green Flo i remember was fine, kind of a citrus/floral aroma ... something in the tropical way:) The berry is more sweet with tones of the forest fruits (I'm talkin'about the old original BB, didn't tried the new version TB) The berry is a very enjoyable evening smoke... but for the sativa high go on with Flo, or better F13 ;)

The pics up there are all from 60daze flowering (yesteday). the first 4 pics are from the plant that i cut the center flower at day 55 ...now the lower popcorn gets more light & the trics are maturing well. btw don't get me wrong, I'm talking about finishing the process of this uneven maturing, not growing more flowers in a week or 2. (if you want more flowers after the first half harvest, the plant must get more nutes ...and overall this is best doing outdoor or a greenhouse:)

Here are more pics from the other F13 with also matured tops but fresh lower nugs.

today i removed the ripe flower (i don't want any amber on the F13 ...my sativa grass must be as white as possible:)

They already are just a litle bit amber trics // but also some purple:)

...i will care for the plants for a week or more (maybe 10-11daze) will se how the lower trics will develop.

Alex-: Flo or F-13, thats a hard one....

Alex-: Flo or F-13, thats a hard one....

.... I'm a week or two away from starting my first Flo run, but the reviews i've been reading place it as an exotic clasic, Search EM's threads and posts for very informing info on Flo. You and I have already traded posts about F-13 so it should be no surprize that I endorse F-13 above all (as of now, 7-8 weeks from now with a Flo harvest I may be switching sides) She (F-13) give a more than fair yeild with a little extra flowering time for most her phenos (avg. around 9 wk's) but almost all plants paint themselfs with the true DJ short purple, a almost strip club neon sign glow purple that can only come from DJ's OPT line. I've seen almost all tones of purp in cannabis, and the DJ (F-13, and others strains, but pheno'ing in almost all the F-13 plants) is the sickest of them all and others (customers... wait no, there are never any custemers, ya... anyway) notice the almost odd purp tone right away and offer first born for it. the smell of F-13 can range from here to there, but almost always lays in the "floral" or earthy tones, earthy in the way of "stepping out on a wooden porch, surounded with many vegitive and flowering plants after a warm spring rain" sweat type of "musk" in the air. the gems have a Rose oil X Honey flavor that will stay hard on the iner cheek for a longer than avg time, even withstanding being washed away with a full liter of water (i had cotten mouth, come on.....) i could go on for way to long, but you, and hell every one should have F-13 in ther garden sometimes, Please have Flo aswell, but my say is if the choice has to be made, buy F-13 first and if posable get Flo asap. Grow for all the right reasons, Peace. GF
