DJ Short Blueberry questions

Guest

Hello all. I have just recieved my pack of DJ shorts blueberry, and I will be planting them within the next few months. I have heard that BB can be a tricky plant to grow especially for someone who is somewhat inexperienced. I am trying to get any tips that I can before I start this grow, so that I can hopefully get me a nice mother to keep for years to come.
I have a few questions for you experienced DJS BB growers out there. The first is this, I have heard that blueberry can produce some odd leaf deformities that can be "tricky for the novice grower". As I said, I am still a novice (the BB will be my 4th grow), so I am wondering what I should do if I come across this situation and also if there is there anything I can do to prevent it?
My second question is about cloning BB. I have never cloned before but I will be getting some practice soon with my Black Russian grow that is just weeks away. Any tips or help with cloning BB would be appreciated. As I said I am hoping to keep a mother plant so getting my cloning technique down is a must. Is there a clonign technique that anyone finds to have high success rates with BB, or does the strain not matter? Also any tips on caring for my future mother would also be greatly appreciated.
Well thats it for now, I know this may be alot to ask, but any help at all will help me a great deal. Thanks for the help

p.s.
Just wanted to thank DJ for all his hard work and dedication. If you see this DJ, thanks

Well I've always heard that blueberry doesn't like much nutes and burns easily.

Also, as expensive as those beans are, I would take extra super care to make sure that you don't have any light leaks. Stress and hermies from those beans would be $$$ down the toilet.

Thanks alot for the advice Dr. I thought I had heard that BB was a light feeder a while back but couldnt recall. Also, my next grow will be absolutely light proof. I already foubnd out the hard way what a tiny amount of light can do to cannabis. Thats why Im gonna start a few other grows and try to get my techniques down before I even try the BB. Once again thanks for the help.

No,its very easy to clone.I grew DJ short blueberry and everyone loved it though it was less blue than The DP that I grew. You can go light on the nitrogen during veg but other than that its no more difficult to grow than any other. You get mutations but that doesnt make it difficult to grow like so many folks think.I got a couple decent pheno's nothing really blue though and discontinued after a couple sets of clones.Long live blockhead the king!! lol

DJ is the one who has been producing the Blueberry for the Europeans for the last few years. Actually most of the strains came from North America that the Europeans use.

I think DJ shorts version was more potent, but dutch passion looked and smelled a lot more blueberry than DJs.I know this is contrary to what you've probably heard,I was quite surprised too havent grown DJ short after DPs version.EDIT Also I have to say I grew DJ short True blueberry which is supposed to be more sativa,I never grew his indica version maybe its a lot bluer than what I got

DJ Short is from North America, dude. And he's the original breeder of Blueberry, so he's been doing it for more than a few years. He lives in Canada now, but he created Blueberry while in Oregon in the 1970's. A long time ago.
