DIY Net Pot (mini) Carbon Scrubber

this thing is small i know, but it should be more than sufficient for my current Northern Lights grow.

Parts:
knife or scissors
6" net pot
5" net pot
aluminum tape
black panty hose
1 9 oz jar of activated carbon.(I only used one jar of activated carbon, so if you are gonna copy this don't buy 2 jars)



next i pulled the panty hose over each net pot and cut them



i tape down the top of the panty hose on the 6 inch net pot and filled the bottom 1" or so with activated carbon.



next i placed the 5" net pot inside the 6" net pot and filled the sides with carbon. a folded piece of paper or flimsy cardboard worked well for this.



next i pulled the hose from the 5" net pot over the carbon and over the outside of the 6" pot. be sure not to pull the 5" pot away from the carbon it is sitting on top of.

i taped the hose i just pulled to the outside down.



finished and ready for action.

one more thing you will notice the inside net pot sticks up a little higher than the 6 incher. i did this to provide a little thicker wall of carbon on the sides.

oh well, it's for the better. a PC fan bogged down when i hooked this up. it might of worked, but the back pressure was more than i wanted.

if you build this you need more than a PC fan to drive air through it. i took it apart and used the carbon in a bigger scrubber.

all is good now, just didn't want someone thinking this would work that well, cuz it didn't.
