DIY: Micro Drying Box

F

F0iL

Hey, All I thought I would share some pics and info on a drying box I just made. It was easy to put together and the parts were cheap. Basically I drilled 1 hole on each side of the rubbermaid container. Then I F0iL taped the carbon filter material to cover the light and make sure dust and what not doesnt get in. I than drilled 4 holes on the side where the fan would be. And than I zipped tied the fan to the rubbermaid and made it be the exhaust side. I needed to make something that would be stealthy and be able to go under my bed.

Here are the supplies I used in mine:
- Small Rubbermaid container
- PC Fan and 12V DC Adapter
- Mini Rack
- F0iL Tape
- Carbon Filter Material
- Zip Ties

i bought some "carbon filter material" from target one day, it was supposed to be for some specific air filter, but it was just a piece of filter that was black and i dont know if it was made in carbon or ran through filter dust or something, but it worked for filter material for my vegging plants. It was roughly 6x10".

Im going to guess that this is the same type of filter material. Made specifically for an in-home air fliter and uses the activated carbon material to help dull orders. Should work fine for a rubbermaid full of stinky wet herb.

I think im going to have to copy this design since i already have all the parts laying around the house!
