you need to move the blue wire on pin 5 to pin 3. it's constantly putting out power because you have the relay connected to the normally close pins which means the circuit is constantly closed.
personally when i did this with my telaire 8001 i used DC power and relay. I set mine up so that when the CO2 is on, the exhaust fans are off and as soon as the CO2 kicks off, the fans turn on.
^^
Thanks for the post... This is for a sealed room so that isn't needed but I am designing this to be able to be used in a passive intake active exhaust room. Goin to build a temp controller with a cancel cord, that will cancel out power to the CO2 while the exhaust is on.
Ill try that... just a quick question... wouldn't it then cut out power to the outlet when it raised above the Setpoint? The outlet is receiving power no matter whether it is above or below the setpoint.
My transformer is 120v-24v AC... Shouldnt matter tho, it states it can run off of AC or DC... the relay is a 24v (coil) SPDT relay (120v line).
Switching it to NO (pin 3) on the controller didnt seem to work. Goin to pickup a volt meter tommorow... starting to think I might have a bunk controller. Doesnt seem to be switching.. When I hard wire the transformer to the relay... the relay performs as it should.
no cable... got the software... but notmuch use without a ethernet to serial cable....
yes bought it off ebay new, the guys sells tons of em... if its the controller ill get it replaced.
I can verify that the transformer is spittin out the correct voltage and that the SPDT relay is working as intended.... How would I go about testing which secondary (24v) wire is hot and which is neutral using a voltage meter? Narrowed it down to the controller... for some reason the controller is not relaying the voltage when the setpoint is hit.
well you can build the cable yourself in about 5 min and i'll post up the wiring in like 45 minutes when i get to the unit.
i bought the controller off ebay too and mine wasn't calibrated, i had to send it to telaire and spend $85 to have it calibrated. i waited like 6 months until after i bought it to try it out so i couldn't go against the seller.
what is the guy's name on eBay because i need another one and preferably an 8002, not the 8001 i got.
^^
haha i feel like an idiot rather not post it : ) lets just say... i was missin a wire.
Thanks for the diagram... my comp no longer has serial ports... I see there are serial - usb adapters on the internet... You by chance know the diagram for a Ethernet to USB?
