I've caught the diy c02 gen fever tryin to speed up sum growth on my clones and riged my baby box up for a c02 app. Was wondering if I should start givin them any nutes a few days after I start?
I'm running a pretty big ass ice chest I riged with a 40 w cfl and prop tray.
I'm on day 7 now so they should start showin root soon they are in 1.5 inch grow dan cubes started with clone ex and I've been givin them 10ml ro uv h20 a day with a mist of 1ml b52 to a liter of h20 ro of course since temps run to high and my dome isn't tall enough to keep rh up I just check them on the reg with the lip test... they are doin awsome only one lookin lil droopy but hey that's. What happens rite? So to stop wastin everyones time and get 2 the point I've heard good thing about c02 in veg but with fast growth comes the need for nutes am I rite? Iam running the gen organic line so I have it all plus sum advanced jungle juice and b52 I'm using on my tomatoes and peaches with nutty results lol another thread tho so that's what I got and the nutes I have on hand any advice would b great...

G'day...no point giving clones nutes until they have roots. I wait unti they are 3 weeks old and only give a very mild dose. An EC of about .5 works for me.

But dosnt adding c02 speed thing up abit? After 7 days they should have atleast lil roots rite? They are all lookin pretty perky maybe the pix don't do much justice. But I figure if they are standin tall 7 days later they gotta be doin sumthing rite. Since gro dan dosnt hav any nute should I add a .25 dose of bio root, bio marine and maybe few ml. Of bio thrive grow to the water assuming they have atleast alil bit of root goin on that hasn't shown yet?

No offence but I think you are over complicating the cloning process. Cloning requires a lot of patience and stable temps of 75F or 24C. It is very rare to get roots in 1 week. Take one out of the cubes and you may notice swelling at the base.

Unless it has roots the clone cannot take up the nutes. I wouldn't worry about CO2 until everything is up and running. Personally I don't bother with CO2 and don't find it necessary.

But I know cloning and do it for SOG's where many are required.

Additives are not needed.

Good luck.

Back again...these are about 50 rooted clones at about 3 1/2 weeks.

FED WITH A SEAWEED SOLUTION FOR ABOUT 5 DAYS AND NOW 36 GO INTO AN EBB/FLOW TRAY UNDER 1000W....THEN THE HYDRO NUTES BEGIN

the co2 is hardly going to make a difference. imo you're better off not worrying about it and perfecting your technique in other area.

ok every thing iv READ can't say for experence last clones were taken about 7 or 8 weekes into flower and took lil over a month to show anything and so the threads say 10 to 14 days to show roots. Kinda figured since its day 7 there should be somthing, so y not feed it. But that's y I brought it up to you guys. Figured ud know more than I would... just have a guy bustin balls for sum after he seen last round just wanted to se if c02 and lil nutes would speed things up by a few days... but like last round ill wait it out... thanks again high country and folic kinda put my mind at ease again. And beautiful babies u have there high country

I think you need to understand the plants processes before hand. In photosynthesis carbon dioxide and water are turned into sugars with solar energy. Sugar is used to process nutirients. Plants take up water and nutrients through osmosis. More roots means more surface area for osmosis to occur. Since the clones don't have roots they can't uptake much water. Even though they have light and co2, the water is bottlenecking sugar production. So adding co2 to rootless plants is pointless. There should be enough in the ambient air. I would add nutes 1/4 str or less.

Depending on strain, 7 days straight water in the my aero cloner and I get roots. We had snowy weather and I didn't heat my room up and some of the others rotted :(

The reason I'm watering every day at about 10 ml of h20 is my chest is out side some where in cali and its pretty darn hot and dry around here so I can't keep the lid to my cloner shut at all have to prop it up the temps from the 40 watt cfl is turning that ice chest into a oven so I'm workin with just the rh from the back yard if they dry up they die rite? So I gotta keep them fairly damp atleast. But as far as the c02 goes I figured the clones had a lil bit of nutes storedin the leaf and what not and figured if I tossed in lil bit more than abient it would help draw that out and give them a lil jump start on root production.. but since this is only my second try at cloning I wouldn't say I'm too informed and couldn't find anything with the search opt.
