I thought this would make for a pretty cool little set up thats cheap,easy and can be done in small spaces. I have a tool box that I turned into to a grow box from sears. It's about 6ft high and 2 1/2 ft X 2ft. I'm basically using this set up to do me vegging in until I get ready for some big lights!
I went to H-deot and purchase
3 rubbermaid tubs 18$
duct tape 3$
some pvc T's and pipe 6$
water pump 20$
and I already had some tubing!
So less than 50$ It's on like a water bong!
I duct taped the 2 smaller tubs to prevent light pentatration and built a little stand to space them out. Cut 2 hole on the end of the top tub and used liquid nails to seal a couple of T's in for drainage. On the bottom tub I drilled several holes on the other end away from T's from top tub (confused yet?) and then cut a slot about 3"X12" in rez lid directly below the holes of bottom tub. So here's how it works. The rez has a pump that will flow out and up the tubing to the top tub that sits on a slight angle. It will flow across the top tub to the T's and out the bottom through pvc pipes and into the bottom tub. This bottom tub sits on an opposite angle to allow the nutes to flow back across it and drain out the holes directly into the rez. Wala! That's it simple and cheap! The pics don't show the tubing that will come up on the right side and into the top tub. I'll post those when I put the rockwool and hydrotron in. I'm hangin some 40wt fluros bulbs above each tub.
