Hey all,
I decided to make an aerocloner. I bought a 10' stick of 1/2" pipe, 4 90* elbows, 3 T's, a threaded to solvent coupling and a couple bags of sprayers (supposed to be 10 a bag, I got 9 in one, 13 in the other???):
I already had the primer and glue, the rubbermaid tub, the Mag Drive 3 (350 gph), and had bought some 2" neoprene discs from the hydro store many moons ago in preparation for this.
First, I took some measurements, cut my PVC, then mocked it up. After I was satisfied with it, I measured and drilled with a pilot bit the holes for the sprayers. Then, using a tap tool:
I tapped the holes out and installed the sprayers, they were a tight fit!
Then, I flushed out any bits of PVC with water, dried the pipes, and glued them together. If you've never used pvc glue and primer, read the instructions on the can and follow them!
And here it is:
For the lid, I measured out 10 holes. I can add more later if needed, but 10 is plenty for my purposes. I cut them out using a hole saw, after making a pilot hole in the center, heres a pic of a pilot hole to illustrate what I mean:
A hole saw has a bit in the center for a guide, making a pilot allows for a precise hole to be cut. Here is the finished lid:
I'm gonna take a single cutting from a new mom to be, I'll post pics of it later when I take it.
