DIY 4x4 Table Stand

Hey Guys,
I posted this in Indoor Hydro as well.
Then realized it may belong here.

I need to build a table stand for a 4x4 tray.

It will be in a 5x5 tent, so no real size constraints on width.
But I need to keep it as short as possible to not lose plant height.

I’ve been planning on PVC and fittings to make a 5 leg table.
Square top, legs at the corners, and a pvc connecting through the middle with the 5th leg in the center of that.

What size PVC do you think is thick enough?
I don’t want to thicker than needed for price.

What other options have you used for tables?

Lastly, I’m not opposed to buying premade if the price is close.

Thanks,
Stone

I'm lazy these days, I would just use four, 3 & 1/2, or 5-gallon buckets with lids, turned upside down. Maybe five buckets for a 4 x 4 tray. Thanks for posting friend and when you get it figured out let us know what you used.

That was my first thoughts as well.
Been trying to keep the room professional looking unless it’s a huge cost difference with similar performance.

I may go that route shorter though.

So I'm not the only one who uses buckets for tables/grow trays. I also use pieces of cardboard to shim one side or another, so I can level a table or make a slight angle for drainage of a hydroponic tray.

a couple buckets and a pre-cut piece of ply wood make for a nice raised surface.

I've even double stacked buckets, for a table that is two buckets tall.
