So much to say and update everyone on. Too much to think about so I haven't really got it all sorted enough to type it out yet. Still don't have a finaly weight. Still trimming.

Mattbho - Hey man. Thanks for the kind words above and the encouragement to get the thread rolling again. I still haven't claimed my prize for the POTM win - but I'm getting there. That's how far behind I am.
I posted an update about chemcomp on the F.A.M.I.L.Y. Jewels thread - given I had the honor of hanging with a lot of F.A.M. that weekend. Was an excellent time - I couldn't be more grateful for the hospitality showed to myself and my cannavixen. We had an excellent time just being immersed in the scene that deep for a couple days. Especially coming from a state where nothing is legal, it's always a bit dumbfounding to see what's going on just a few hours away.
So - ChemComp - It would seem people entered the contest with the intention of establishing themselves as good growers. I went with the intention of introducing a new cut and proving it was of merit. Those who won, did so with multiple entries, increasing their odds of winning. I went with what I believed was my very best. 1 entry. That approach, did not result in winning the event, but it did tell me what I needed to know.
1. GMO - Skunkfoot Farms
2/3. Chem D - Skunkfoot Farms, Hazy Hill Farms
4. ECSD - Hazy Hill Farms
5. FAM95 - dank.Frank
I did smoke some of Skunkfoot Farms Chem D - and it did smoke 'better' than the FAM95 - but really only because, I took the FAM95 to 79 days because I felt the high at 63-68 was still a bit to racy - the trich were still clear - and it just felt early. Didn't feel mature. However, taken then, it does smoke more like traditional Chem D. Taken longer, it's a much fuller, richer, more complete and enveloping high. Just better in my opinion and the trichs indicate such via a mix of mostly cloudy, some still changing from clear to cloudy, a few specks of some cloudy starting to turn amber. Not any truly fully amber. I felt that was the PROPER window. 79 days. Oh well.
What I did learn from talking with Skunkfoot - he also entered MotorBreath15. The FAM95 bested his MB15 entry. I know the #6 was a Chem Fuego entry, from Lucky Dog Seeds - but I do not know who the grower of that entry that was.
Not only did FAM95 best a known and accepted elite in the MB15 - it bested it grown by the individual that took 1st at the event. I was also the only seed plant in the top 5. That was evidence enough for me that I'm not wrong at all about the quality of my FAM95 keeper. She's fire. I'm still smoking on her and she's still getting the job done. I will have to get some old pictures up in the next coming days.
Buddle - So very good to talk to you. I'm glad you are doing well. The FAM95 pheno I kept does have a more OG frame that her siblings which had either a more Afghani (M10) or Chem 4 type of frame. So she is a bit more spaced out in her internode distances, but isn't full on OG floppy. Has more of a Chem nose to her though. She's pretty raunchy...lol... I'm a fan. I'm glad I have her backed up with our mutual friend. Help yourself, old friend.
BobChronic6505 - FAM95 grows a lot like any other Chem/OG cross. They like to be properly supported because their can be some flop as the buds get heavy. They love Ca/Mg more than other plants. They FEED. Hungry girls. Typical of the chem lines though. You know I run water only soil and I put the all different plants in the same situation. The soil is always more depleted after a heavy chem run.
genetic freaked - There is a lot to catch up on. LOL. It truly was great to meet you at ChemComp - and it was an honor to be able to share with you in a way that you have always shared with me. I'm beyond excited for what the future holds. You're pushing it all forward. Can't thank you enough. Your next round of feminized Snomoji - coming off that selected breeders cut of Snow Monkey - is going to be FIRE. I can't wait to see those seeds get sorted by the masses. I'm beyond excited because I know what that gene pool holds. So do the few who got to smoke it. PiffCoastFarms said his wife was going to need a couple of packs to sort herself. Solid work, brother.
GET MO - BROOOOOOOOO. I'll say this right now. That cut of GMO x GG4 Bx7 homie found - is just nuts. I loved smoking it. Can't wait to put her to work. She's going to see a lot of action around here. She's built for blockwork. I'm beyond excited about her potential. She's gonna dump for rosin too. Thanks for vote!
Things have been up in the air. I haven't been running anything in the garden. My living situation is not as concrete as it once was and until everything falls into the proper place, I'm not going to fire up another full round to have it come down mid cycle. Timing is always a funny thing. I'm not sure I'll even be firing lights back up in my current location. If I do, it will be after an expansion, not before.

I went to a "grower symposium" in Culpeper Virginia yesterday. It was more like a flea market with a band playing. Lol.
I can't wait till growers competitions come to my home state of Virginia, but technically it's not legal to drive or transport a plant.
. I can give a plant, I can receive a plant. As long as it all happens only at my main household.
but I did hand out a bunch of bud to strangers.

This cut has been named "Outlaw Cookies" to give a bit of honor of Josey Whales...
The story is simple. Get Mo reached out to JW about a GG male and what to look for. Before he passed, he sent GetMo some GG4 Bx7 seeds. GetMo selected a male and hit a few plants. Those seeds were shared. Genetic Freaked found an absolutely stellar plant. Like really, really, good.
Plant smells pretty much like beef bullion and yeasty fermented dough. A few have said she smells like a pastrami sandwich. Guess that could be a location thing, I don't know...lol. She smokes. Very well. Something I always liked about Sour Dubb is she had a daydream like disconnect from reality that really made her great. That carried over to the high in GG4 and it also carried over to this particular GMO x GG4 Bx7 pheno. However, this is very sedative, not quite narcotic. It doesn't sit heavy on the body, but you feel her everywhere. Every time I smoked her I lost 2 hours and didn't realize it. It's the stare blankly at the wall for 45 minutes and shake you head out of the fuzz to refocus only to zone out on something else and not realize the world is existing around you. It's fantastic cannabis. I'd consider it medical grade.
That to me is always something a little bit different, based on the effects I personally seek. Keep in mind the FAM95 is killer and I still consider it absolute top tier recreational flower. NOT because of a lack of quality but simply because of the effects it gives, and where I use it in my own personal rotations. It's a daily driver.
Genetic Freaked's pheno, selected from Drohammad Seeds GMO x GG4 Bx7 - ie "Outlaw Cookies" - is a favorite in my stable currently. Between it and FAM95 I'm pretty much feel like Scrooge McDuck dving into his pile of gold coins.
It's about time to show off some more. With genes like these - it's too easy.
Can't thank all of you involved enough for the opportunity to grow this plant and be a part of keeping the GG#4 legacy alive through direct offspring.
As should be. When I have produced a round of flower, I'm going to reach out to the folks at ggstrains. We'll get the ball rolling with this cut though. She's special. Outlaw Cookies. Just saying.

It absolutely would be.
I really like her because it's not something you smoke and go, "Oh, great GMO Glue - or Great Chem Cookies "- etc she comes off very much as being her own thing. Really gives her a place in the garden where otherwise she might just be another GMO outcross...the same way there are so many, just another cookies outcross or just another glue outcross.
Wait until we drop some fem seeds. Outlaw Cookies x Sex Monkey (Snow Monkey #2 - genetic freaked's selected breeder cut) - The Glue in both lines with the stupid high resin content - could make for some very very impressive plants. This will be one of the first offerings from Stank Bros in a very long time. Lot of stuff going on in the background.
I've been investing and getting a sort of old world modern library built.
Outlaw Cookies x Dino Cookies is an ongoing project as well. Dino Cookies was made by @mrbobhemphill and is legitimate Thin Mint given directly from Cookie FAM outcrossed to Triangle Kush x Afghani #1. So, GSC x TKM10. I've seen some EXCELLENT plants surface from this line. Eventually, there will be a fem offering paired to the best female and a m/f offering paired to a selected male. IF - what I am looking for surfaces in the gene pool.
Some very interesting haze work being considered as well. Karma G gifted me some seeds a while back and something special has surfaced in the Bandaid Haze#7 x A5 Haze fems. I was smart and found myself in a scenario to purchase some Doc D seeds which will allow for some interesting possibilities.
If you know the story...Yo Sammy gave KG the A5. KG made the A5/Mirkal Thai. Those seeds were gifted to Bodhi - Bodhi made Cuban Black Haze x A5/Thai. Those seeds were given to Doc D. Doc D grew them and selected #7 as his keeper and called it Bandaid Haze - ie to heal the world.
Karma was gifted BH#7 - and he hit it with reversed A5 pollen - (Cuban Black Haze x A5/Thai) x A5 - this is where the mother I'm keeping is selected from, and she has been dubbed "Topsail Haze".
The seeds I got from Doc D are Bandaid Haze 3.0. It is the BH#7 mother x A5/Thai Bx male. Using a female that focused on the A5 only and a male that reintroduces the Thai side, really makes for a smart pairing of the two. In the future, I'll have a ton of very focused and smartly stacked haze seeds to sort through. This will open all kinds of possibilities - because I've also been given access to M10 stock. Things could get very interesting.
Also - Phillthy and I have agreed to be guests on a podcast in the not to distant future. You are NOT going to want to miss this!!! I'll keep everyone posted on that.

Man that gg4bx7 male made some ridiculous crosses. Another homie found a keeper out gg4bx7 x (sureshot x chem d) they callin Big Stepper, makin waves in his neck uh the woods, said its perfect combo anise mixed with tennis ball container funk n heavy hitter.
gg4bx7 x (9lbhammer x platinum huckleberry kush) aka 900 lb gorilla puttin out heavy weight frost giants.
got some of the gg4bx7 c sureshot goin at my fam house the smell rediculous, early flower but already drippin… havenr named this one yet.
Joesy left me a blessing with them beans, fasho his legacy will live on as one of the greatest in my book.

My seeds just came today as well - except they didn't come in fancy packages. They came old school style via DVD case. I did get spoiled as well. 50 Deep Chunk was my pick. 20 Northern Chunk. 10 HazeJack. 10 Liberty Haze x ______. Very excited for all of these. Thank you for the nomination, brother. Very kind of you.
I should also mention. I went for broke on some new version Blueberry seeds from old ICmagger Endur. When Million$Baby and Motherloade hit mainstream, I don't think I was really taking cuts or even growing at the time. Those were always stupid good selections - that is really what they were. Great selections. That led me to trust Endur and his eye for good plants. Enter CalcoDankster and Calco Genetics - just another ICmagger doing great things in the world.
"Calcodankster" has worked the NorCal Bob cut of Blueberry into his own line and version of what he wants Blueberry to be. NCB Blueberry x Humble Pie was the base line for "Blueberry Syrup" - which Calco has worked very smartly and outcrossed in a bunch of different ways. I had to get in on a deal when he offered pretty much a full genetic map of his work. Syrup F2. F3. Bx1. NCB x Syrup. NCB x (Kona Sunset x Syrup).
I'll be honest because I'm not sure it matters any more to say otherwise, the cut we got many years back that was mislabeled, came as NorCal Bob Fire OG. It wasn't because it was his cut - it's just how cuts used to be traded. You'd never give something to someone you couldn't put a name for traceability on it. It used to be a pretty good sign if someone said, you can have it but don't say you got it from me - that the cut wasn't likely to be real in the first place. If you couldn't speak on it, then you didn't want the cut. For this reason, I assume that NCB knows what good cannabis is as well - and had selected a superior pheno from DJ stock to keep around.
Time to sort a bit more genetics, even though the stable is looking MIGHTY fine these days!
asher1er - nothing but good things so far from all of those GG4 Bx7 crosses. I have a few set aside for a rainy day as well.
