Harborside is great for picking up cuttings, I like the Dark Heart Nursery selection, never any issues with mites, pm on the other hand seems to show up later into flowering. You can check Harborside's twitter account for updates on clones, but note they don't show everything that is in stock.
Is it possible for an out-of-state person to even enter a California dispensary? When I lived there it wasn't, but that was about 10 years ago.

CA will let anyone into a dispensary as long as they follow the rules. Here are the rules for a person who is from out of state and wants to become a legal CA patient. 1) Have a CA DL or CA ID card from the DMV. You can acquire a ID card from the DMV for a nominal fee and by showing your birth certificate. In addition, you will need a CA address (you can use a friend's). 2) Go to a doctor's office that prescribes recommendations for cannabis, explain to the doctor exactly where your pain is located, doctors absolutely love when you show medical records from your current physician. At which point you will be approved a one year permit to consume, hold, and cultivate cannabis for a nominal fee from the doctor's office. Each county in CA is different in terms of legal amounts of dried cannabis and plant count numbers. There is also something called a 'growers cultivation permit' which is rare, but not impossible to acquire, you just need to know what doctor office's are participating in that program. Obviously this will cost more money. 3) Go to a dispensary of choice and show them your recommendation, time to purchase clones! This all can be accomplished in a couple of hours with proper planning. Make sure to have your paper work in order. Good luck!
Harborside is great for bud, hash, and edibles. I'm not sure about the clones anymore.
I had 7 strains in my last grow. 4 from Harborside, 2 from Elemental Wellness in San Jose (another good one for bud and hash), and my favorite C99 plant from a few years ago. The whole garden got powderey mildew just after flowering started. I kept it under control, but I had never seen that in 13 years of growing. It had to have come from one of the dispensary clones.

The thing I don't like about Harborside is that they never offer newer more current cult strains, like sherbet, holy grail kush, or exotics, for example cuttings from Bodhi Seeds. Vendors of clones need to offer a larger diversity. I'm so tired of seeing Blue Dream, Dream Queen, and some weak Sour D cutting. Dark Heart Nursery is the big dog around here, but their portfolio offerings would be very easy to surpass in a short period of time.
I loved the Harlequin clone I got there. Chem 91 was good too, and Headband. I'm sure the Sour Diesel I got there isn't the real thing. I got a quarter pound of bud from that clone (3 clones from the clone I bought). It's decent in terms of the high, but it smells like hay. Nothing like the real Sour Diesel.
