Dishwasher for Glassware?

Anything wrong with this? Not anything fancy, just the glass pieces from a Da Budha vaporizer. I used to soak 'em in isopropyl, scrub, rub, etc. Lots of work. Now I just run them through the dishwasher with out any preliminary work. Take them out in the morning and they are perfect. Like new.

The glass I'm washing is inexpensive enough to replace if I am damaging it so I don't care about that. Just wondering why it isn't SOP. Maybe it is and I just missed because all of my cannabis related interaction is virtual :)

The water is not enough to clean the glass good enough. I cant get my glass clean enough with hot water. If your using detergent? Never tried that. I can tell you the pressure from the sprayers are high. I take the time(15min) to clean it with Acetone and simple green. I just fill them and shake , that's it all clean. the slides need to soak for a few min.

Really hot water that's further heated during the wash. I use Cascade powder.

Acetone is really my last ditch solvent - hate it. There is literally no work to what I've been doing. Put the pieces in the dishwasher. Run the dishwasher. Remove pieces and reassemble. Pieces look like new.

if it works should not be an issue. there are parts on my Bubblers the dish washer would fail to reach. I have custom worked glass. putting standard pieces shouldn't be any issue

Really hot water gets the big stuff out.

Iso, coarse kosher salt and ice cubes will scrub that puppy clean as a whistle.

Keep it Clean! :D

Zep. Orange industrial degreaser. No elbow grease required. Submerge piece for an hour+ and rinse with warm h2o. Cheap and re-useable.
I would think the dishwasher may pick up an undesirable oder.

I use the dishwasher for all kinds of stuff. Works great. When I'm concerned about the heat affecting an item, I turn off heated dry.

Never had a problem with any glass item.

I want to design a bong that comes apart so the dishwasher can work on the insides, the tube & water reservoir.

I soak my gooey wands (think vaporizer) bowl down in vegetable oil, screen and all. then into the dishwasher with cascade. screens and glass come out like new...
