Direct sow, or vegetate inside?

Should I direct sow some autos and wait 90 days after a good rain?

Or should I start them inside and vege them, then put outside? :comfort:

Veg inside for a better start and carefully transplant in three weeks(add mycorhizza) on spot.

Koondense hit the nail on the head...

Personally I don't run autos outdoors, but common sense tells me that vegging a plant indoors under 24 hours of lighting gives the fastest route of vegetative growth and then you can put them outdoors. More darkness in a plants life makes for a taller/stretchier plant. Which can be a good thing if she is living the 12/12 life!

But don't try vegging a clone indoors under 24 hour lighting and place them outdoors, learned from personal experience that this will fuck up a good growing season!

fuck photoperiodism. lol

yes, you really gotta time it and everything. any plant can have any light trigger or dark trigger is what I mean? Either way all them are different. Unless you can light dep which is a pain.

also what do you guys think about those urea fertilizer spikes?

I would start indoors . Then dose hard with a high nitrogen fert to kick them in overdrive and the mycos are a good idea. Good luck

Lol sorry but I say fuck autoism. Those autos yield 2 ounces to my one pound bushes... But hey, I understand your passion.

I would skip on the spikes, I have years of outdoor guerilla experience and i've tried them and they suck. Best way I found to fertilize is oscomote time release formulas. Second best is 10-10-10 (in early veg) from your local farm store then as they get in mid to peak veg and get a bit bigger you can use 20-20-20. Organics are decent as well as long as you have good pest control and can tend to it a bit more often as animals love digging that shit up as much as your plants love eating it.

Then for a boost every now and then bring in a mixed gallon of some more potent water soluble fertilizers and hit em up. Or an easier way is to keep an eye on the weather and the night or day before it calls for rain, sprinkle the dose of water soluble fertilizer around the vase of the plants and kinda build up a one inch barrier so it doesn't all run off and poke a few holes around the mound of the plant for better assurance and mother nature will mix it and feed for you.

I plant a bumper crop during flowering time of photo period seeds and its just like 12/12 from seed but better cause you got the power of the sun versus a hps, led or fluorescent. Yields betters as well.

Happy growing!:tiphat:

Mycos is great. So is micro's :)

Yes start it indoors under 24 hour lighting or at the least 18/6. Autos are not my thing but I know enough about them to know this.

Nitrogen on the higher end on your N-P-K is good. For example 8-5-5 rather than 3-8-8...

But do not hit autos with HIGH nitrogen especially right off the bat. Yes a higher N number than P and K but nothing too strong. They are fragile, give them half the dose of photoperiod's.

Oh and most of my advice is for experience with photos. I have ran autos in and out, but will not run autos again outdoors for sure. Maybe try a super auto (one day when i'm retired) haha!

thanks for all the replies. I know my cucumbers exploded from the spikes and you say not to use them, but I am gonna use them. we get enough rain to solute it.

and I wasn't entirely saying fuck photoperiodism, just for me it's not one of my options because of security.

7 inch pots will do this and then transplant?

How big of pots? (how big of pot should my pot be in?)

and if I find a digital deer/ game camera I'm taking the SD card out and deleting myself off it. I've done this. One of these things caught me smoking a joint, but a light turned on on it and that's how I knew it was there.
