digital ballasts: harmonic distortion and large grows

as title states. what do you all know about harmonic distortion, particularly with 10-20+ ballasts. there is a thread on another forum on this, but nothing conclusive on information with harmonic distortion. supposedly not a big deal under 10 ballasts, but more then that, more like 20+ ballasts.

Harmonic distortion distorts the sine wave of your AC and can really fry electrical components. They don't like step wave AC.

This is usually a concern for large industrial electrical setups, not sure about your grow. If there is enough distortion, it will damage your electronics with excess heat.

This is more for a serious electrical engineer to help you with. good luck.

I believe it would depend on the harmonic distortion of that particular ballasts to begin with.

All I know is computers sometimes need a separate circuit..... why not under load each circuit if there is a problem.....
