which of these ballast are preferred by growers on this site ? Galaxy,Next Gen, Lumatek ,Quantum or other manufacture. this will be for 1000 240. my main concern is RF interference. I have a main waterway for large boats close to home. now that digital ballast have been out for a while, people can give better opinions. Taproot.

That's a new model Lumatek with the superlumens thing, years after they claimed to have resolved this issue.

My 2010 model lumatek got me a visit from the cable company. They damn near cut me off when I refused to let them inspect all the cable outlets in the house.

I personally wouldn't use a digital ballast of any kind if RF interference is an issue.

In that case, I would not worry about them at all. The tugs are around industrial RF noise all the time.

I live in a area that is rather remote and towers ( not cell) are my neighbors. the towers are located on the opposite side of water. they are farther than me from shoreline. I can run mag ballast, but starting over again and want to upgrade. Taproot

I jave 16 Quantum 1k's all in one spot, and the tv and electronics 10 feet away work fine, as does the radio. Thats about as solid a field report as you can get. Lumateks still have a higher failure rate according to my busy local shop.

I've run 8 different Lumateks before, six 1kw and two 400W, and never had a problem out of any of them. They are solid.
