Digital ballast failure

My digital greenhouse ballast ,took a shit on me today..Had i looked over the connections on the equipment ,i would have caught the problem before meltdown.

Im hoping its not a electrical issue with the ancient wiring at my location .Everyone make sure to periodically inspect your connections for any possible problems,and don't burn the place down....

Hrmmmmmmm............., thats no good @ all NEVER seen THAT happen on a digi!

Magnetic's I have a single prong melt in my own closet gathering dust, but not a digi, wow

All the digi failures Ive ever heard of, just pooped out n stopped working!

that is EXACTLY what happened to mine TWICE!

i had a lumatek ballast, and it burned one cord, and popped the fuse that comes with it.

It had a backup fuse so i popped that in with a new cord, and a few days later BAM that shit happened again! got a new one

I have had every digi ballast I have owned fail on me, IMO they are junk. None of them were in growrooms, they were for reef tanks 250w and lower. Every time one failed, I had to dig out an old magnetic ballast that had several years of use and they always worked. After having so many smaller digi ballasts fail, I never could bring myself to buy a 4, 6, or 1k digi ballast.

Digital ballasts -240Hz

A lot of lamps on the market are not suitable for rapid/overdrive Hertz...and many older electrical wiring systems can't handle it, either.

Dude that sucks big time.. I cant even imagine forking out for a digital and then having it melt on me... It appears several people have had these issues.. thank god I have el cheapo ebay model and it hasnt failed me yet lol
