so basically if theres a strain that finishes 50 days indoor does that mean that it take 50 days outdoor or will it take alot longer?

it may be the same, it might take longer as its not an exact flip of the timer when its outdoors so the transition from veg to flowering may be extended by a week or 2. Or it may not finish at all because you used an indoor plant outside which starts flowering dead on 12/12, which puts harvest into november.

In the Northern hemisphere outdoor plants generally finish sometime around late September to October because of the light cycle. You can manipulate your plants a bit if the weather permits in your area. By starting plants for a few weeks indoors you can acclimate them to 18 hours of sunlight or more per day. You will need to check the hours of natural daylight you would be exposing your plants to based on your latitude and as long as they get less than 12 hours per day they should finish near in the suggested indoor flowering time. This allows for some people to complete up to 3 outdoor grows between spring and fall. Indica strains are much better suited to this than equatorial sativas are.
