diesel vs og kush

Hey all. I've been smokin for years and years, and I'm about to start up a grow pretty soon. I'll be using a 3 foot square grow cab that's about 6 feet tall with either a 400 or 600 watt hps for flowering. I'll also have a mother/clone/veg cab that's 2 feet square and 6 feet tall. I'm going to be using the sea of green technique and was wondering which strain will perform better in your opinion? Sour Diesel or OG Kush s1s... (from cali kush seed co or pure kush co. as soon as they're available). I've smoked the original og in real life and I loved it, the same goes for the sour diesel. I'd say they're a tie smoke wise but I want to know which will do better in my room. Any help will be much appreciated.

If its Rez's Sour D IBL it will give you way better erb's. Proof is in the "puddin". If it was the OG OG kush clone then it would be a diff story. I smoke OG from the LA med clubs all day. Bomb. Screw the S1's. The real CUT would be nice.And go for the 600 watt with a 6 inch fan. SH36

i would say grow em both.. but personelly if you have the actual OG cuting from LA not the med club crap the true OGK..then go for the ogers.. if not i would definitly grow the diesel.. i am currently sitting on the oger s1 and will not grow them til i taste the bud from them... and the pure kush company is just a bunch of crosses to a supposed kush plant not the real thing...i am about to grow sour diesel ibl and man i live in LOs Angeles and am proud to say sour d i extremely comparable .. i think its a tad bit better than og but they are soooo sooo soooo soooo similar...but hey just my

here some of la og kush and some bubba non of which comes from the med clubs that make all the claims its reall when i not...

Your grow is almost like my grow. I have 40"x40"x 6 ft. Go with the 600. It will produce nice buds deeper down the plant. A 65 cfm fart fan keeps things under 90 F even in summer.

A 6 ft tall grow and a 600 gives you lots of room. You may need to train your plants and/or put short ones on bricks, but you have a deep sweet spot with a 600 lamp. You have room to have two or three strains going at once.

I strongly recommend Rez’s versions of SD. I've grown Rez's Bx 2.5 and version 3's. I grew the V3's next to ReeferMan's SD. Six females from ReeferMan’s and six from Rez's V3's.

Rez's stretch more, but have nice thick buds and yielded well. ReeferMan’s were squatter and more indica. Yield was good too.

Rez's are the way to go. They have a giddiness effect to the high that I love. Taste is great too. Two small bongs, I'm ripped, but can function in society, nice and speedy. Four large bongs and I'm down and out.

ReeferMan’s were disappointing. Nothing was sour. Several were slightly sweet. Strength was OK, an 8 on a 0-10. This is a strong notch down from Rez's versions.

I think it comes down to Rez made a better choice with his initial cross. The NYCD matched very nicely with the ECSD clone.

At the moment, I've Cali Kush OG Kush S1's growing next to ReeferMan’s King's Kross. At three weeks of 12/12 the S1's are stretching a lot, so are the KK. The KK looks squatter and have thicker buds. The KK looks a lot like pics of ChemDog I've seen posted lately. The S1's are pop-corn buds and a lot of stem. Smoke reports I've seen of OG S1's look very interesting. . .

It looks as if the S1 OG Kush will yield poorly compared to ReeferMan's KK or any of the SD.

In about two months we shall see which Chef reign's supreme.

Grow em both Kushaholic. Maybe even add a third strain.

The Ogers S1's bud may look like popcorn but will fatten up a bit toward the end but will more than make up for the yeild in potentcy, they'll be rockhard frosty nugs with a lemon/pine smell, well worth it IMHO. Peace...

P.S. No slight to rez's SD, I haven't had the pleasure of trying his gear, I only speak of my experience with CKS Ogers S1.

i guess Rez's Sour D IBL are cool but reeferman Sour Diesel f1 is better then other ECSD! only if u can find the right pheno, if u ask me reeferman made the better Sour Diesel.

If you can do both, that'd be the way to go. Apples and Oranges though...each has a unique taste and high. I got my cut of OG Kush 4 yrs ago from AF on The Left Coast, and it's still in my garden. Having grown a lot of Rez's hybrids over the years, including a few of his Diesel hybrids, I can tell you he's got the goods.

We're talking about 2 completely different highs here if I'm not mistaken. I'd recommend that either you start with the type of high that you want, or grab both of them and bust half a pack of each.

Well, I've grown ecdsv3 and the ogk s1. I would say go with the ogks1, but I don't see it anymore in seedboutique. The v3 didn't get a second go round with me, but that ogs1 early bud (six weeks) is the strongest I've ever smoked. Here is the overgrow link with her pics.

Plus, the ogs1 is less than half the price of if the IBL. This is my first post on both sites, never had a reason to post before this plant.

BTW, I didn't get a v3 pheno that could compare to the dp Isis that I had a few cycles back. Maybe v3 just doesn't like flouros.

Im growing DSDV2 and OG side by side.
The ONLY difference I can see is in the leaf color/texture.
Structure is pretty much the same.
The OG is "waxy" and DEEP green.
The DSD is more pale and has a soft look to the leaf.

Me thinks they share some genes.

Maybe v3 just doesn't like flouros.

....I wouldn't expect much from Sour Diesel,with floros....it takes H.I.D. lighting to get the best out of her,I suspect it's the sativa traits in her....
Stick with indicas,you'll definately do better.

Isis is not indica, neither is odin's hammer, both of which came out great with my set up. I forgot to mention kali mist did fine with my setup also. I do not prefer indicas and was giving your seeds the benefit of the doubt by saying that maybe it was my setup, but I can show you more pics that prove otherwise, if you insist.

If its a question of which beans to get, you got to be kidding me.....You cannot deny the work Rez as put into improving and stabilizing the strain....As far as finding a killer, reliable clone mom, You would foolish not to go with the Sour D.....S1's are cool and all if you want to experiment, but if you want something that will stick around and breed for you Sour D is the tree...gotta go watch Juve now...pretty brown brown , its the rodeo show!
